라킨타 인 앤드 스위트 JFK 에어포트 (La Quinta Inn and Suites JFK Airport) - 뉴욕

2010년 7월 27일, 인천에서 뉴욕 도착한 후 시간이 너무 늦어서 미국 국내선을 탈 수가 없어서 다음날 비행기 탈때까지 묵을 호텔로 JFK공항에서 가깝고, 아침밥도 주고, 공항까지 무료 셔틀버스도 제공되는 호텔 중에서 가장 저렴한 라킨타 호텔을 예약했다. 미리 호텔스닷컴에 전화해서 Late Check-in으로 예약했다. 체크인이 늦으면 자동으로 예약이 취소되기도 한다는 말을 들었기 때문이다. 당일 픽업을 도와준 사람이 네비게이션으로 쉽게 픽업해주었고, 호텔에 도착해서는 호텔스닷컴에서 이메일로 보내준 바우처를 보여주었더니 방 두개를 주었다. 원래는 더블베드룸 2개를 예약했는데, 층이 다르다고 해서 같은 층에 더블베드룸 […] 1개와 킹베드룸 1개로 배정받았다. 별 두개 반짜리인 라킨타호텔은 시설이 전반적으로 깨끗했고, 직원들도 친절했고, 아침에는 간단한 빵, 시리얼, 커피 및 쥬스류의 식사가 제공됐다. 손님이 많아서 테이블이 부족했지만, 우리 가족은 6시30분에 맞춰 가서 자리를 잘 잡을 수 있었다. 무엇보다 좋은 점은 호텔에서 제공한 무료 셔틀로 직접 터미널까지 픽업해준 것이다. 셔틀이 한 시간에 한 대이므로 시간을 잘 맞춰야 하는 점만 빼곤 정말 편리했다. 8시 셔틀을 타려고 15분 전에 로비에서 기다렸는데...미국인에게 팁을 얼마나 줘야하나 물어보니 여행용 짐당 1달러 정도면 된다고 했다. 우리는 슈트케이스가 5개라서 내릴때 5달러 줬다. 처음엔 터미널과 연결된 Federal Circle 역까지 태워주는 줄 알았는데 개개 손님이 원하는 터미널까지 태워준 점은 정말 감동스러웠다. 호텔이 시내에 위치하고 있지 않기 때문에 관광까지 원하는 사람에게는 적합하지 않겠지만, 다음날 연결편 비행기 이용을 위해 깨끗하고 저렴하고 편한 교통편의 호텔을 찾는다면...라킨타 호텔이 적합하다고 생각한다. 처음으로 호텔스닷컴을 통해 외국의 호텔을 예약하면서 불안한 점도 있었지만 여러모로 만족스러웠다. 더 보기

PERSONALTHE HOTEL WAS BAD I WILL NEVER GO BACKTHE HANDEL OF THE SHOWER BROKEN AND MANY OTHER PEOPOL REPORTHED WIITH THE SAME PROBLEM

Room is adequate. Shuttle from JFK wasn't exactly a "pleasure". Driver drove over aggressive, talked on the cell phone, and played music that was very offensive and in appropriate for a business, let alone for a 4 year old child.

Room was small but for overnight stay it worked. Front desk personnel very kind accomidating and friendly. My only problem was one of the shuttle drivers drove like a friggn' maniac. Seriously!!! Additionally, on this one trip, the music he played was incredibly inappropriate for my grandson to be listening to. Sex and drugs!! Come on! And, he decided […] to start talking on the phone while driving reckless. And, to peak the frustration, I sat for over an hour waiting for this one specific driver. This hotel had all of the things that I look for when I travel. There was Internet access, a good breakfast, shuttle to and from the airport and a microwave and refrigerator in my room. The room was small, but I was traveling alone. I would say that it met my needs overall. I would go there again.

smell of weed smokeing in stairwell

Great location , easy to get to . They have limited parking spaces

The hotel shuttle was excellent! The driver, Allister who emigrated from Trinidad, was very friendly and helpful. he dropped me at the hotel at night, and was there bright and early (4AM!) for my shuttle out back to the airport. Perfect place to stay if you need a quick place to rest your head for the night. Helpful staff and comfortable room, very cleanly.Free breakfast and in very close proximity to the airport with a free shuttle.

I needed a room quickly as this hotel was nice. Room was a little small but it was clean and comfortable. Surrounding neighborhood didn't look the best but I didn't leave the hotel. The staff was friendly.

It was better than the Hotel I was staying at the night before. It was ok. The staff was nice enough to let me check in early. I'd stay there again for a short trip to NYC. I would not stay there longer than two nights, though. There isn't very good sound proofing in the walls so you can hear everything. It is over priced; the rate should be considerably […] less. It is also too far away from the subway lines. The best way to get to Manhattan from there on the cheap is take the free shuttle back to the airport and ride the AirTran to the Subway E line at Jamaica center. The free shuttle was great. We stayed at the La Quinta for one night. We had no issues. The hotel was clean enough. The only down sides were figuring out how to get to the small parking lot, only limited parking and due to the fact that our room was in the front of the building there was a lot of outside noise. Other than that we would stay there again.

The room was quite small. Generally comfortable. Not a great place. We chose it because of its proximity to JFK airport.

The check in experience was very nice!! Everyone was very nice!! The room was great. very roomy, The bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Basic hotel within 5 minutes of JFK. Rooms are small but comfortable. For $100 a night in NYC it's fine.

The availability of timely complementary transportation to and from JFK, and of excellent Indian food delivery make this inexpensive, inconveniently located hotel a bargain. I would recommend this hotel to others in a snap... It was very close to public transportation and nice... The staff was friendly and courteous... I would definitely stay there again.... and the Breakfast was nice too ;0) My room was a compact suite but served all of my purposes...

For the price, this is a good hotel while having a short layover at JFK. It isn't in the greatest neighborhood, but still seems relatively safe. The rooms are very small, but clean and comfortable. Free Airport shuttle to and from the airport. All in all a good hotel for the price and for a short layover. towels smelled, linens grungy

Rooms are redicilously small, not comfortable to spend even a night. Staff at the check register couldn't figure out how the reservation was made which brought the level of frustration up. Not a pleasant experience at all.

Very comfortable, convenient to the airport, and pet friendly(most important to us). Decent complimentary breakfast. Parking EXTREMELY limited.

I would not have liked staying longer than one night, because while it was clean, my room was really small and the internet service was very very slow. If you have to work on the net like i did, believe getting dropped every 2 secs is not fun!!! Maybe it was the location of my room being in the corner and all. great new hotel great breakfast friendly staff.very little parking. otherwise great.

room smelled as though it had been a smoking room and all they did was repaint and put a "no smoking" sign on the door. the smell was so bad it kept me awake

I needed a place for one night. This hotel was clean and modern. The staff was exceptionally pleasant! The price was the best in the area and keep in mind that this unplanned stop turned out to be the perfect place for me to grab a meal and get a great night's sleep!

Very helpfull as we got in late, organised food for us all. Great place to stay as close to airport. Breakfast was ok but get down in time as quick to close. Would stay again - thanks

A wonderful experience! Loved it!

I had to spend the night in New York since my connection to Barbados was the next day. I was traveling with my 2 year old son and I needed a hotel that was near JFK. This hotel was perfect. The price was very good, the hotel had 24 hr shuttle service, the room was renovated and clean. I got in late and was still able to get a non smoking room. We left […] the hotel prior to the free breakfast being opened. however the FD had the security guard open the kitchen so my son could get a muffin, yogurt and a milk. When I have to make this trip again I will stay at La Quinta JFK. No fancy stuff like a big Resort but just what you need for a layover. 더 보기

Great hotel, however the room is very small

The entryway was very inconvenient, as one has to drag luggage down a number of steps from the street entry, or up them when leaving. The neighborhood was a put off, kind of scary at night (when we arrived); with no restaurant in the hotel or nearby, we had to order food from outside; it came fairly quickly, but it was just delivered in paper bags, […] which did not seem very health conscious. The lobby area was small and sparse, the breakfast room was adequate, but nothing special. The staff was helpful in providing brochures so that we could order the take-out food, and in giving us the proper information about getting an airport taxi. 더 보기

Overall a good experience except for parking. Secure lot is very small and tight quarters. If you arrive late you might have to park on the street.

We stayed 5 days, & i was satisfied with the hotel. The beds were comfortable, & we didn't experience any of the things that would cause us discomfort. The staff that we encountered were friendly, space was limited, but that didn't bother me. There was breakfast available all days, late & early. It wasn't bacon & eggs, but it sufficed.
