If you are below 20 and only cares about meeting other people, this is the right hotel for you. For all other ages or priorities, avoid this hotel. Not very service minded staff and so so dirty bathrooms. There actually isn't a covered wall above the doors to each room, but holes in a cutout figurine so all sound goes directly to your room. arrived at the hotel 3.30am as needed somewhere to rest & shower for a job interview with my daughter. I chose this hotel for convenience to the job interview and that we would only be there 5 hours in total. was horrified with room, bedding quite stained, yellowed and not inviting at all - in fact we placed our bath towels over the linen to rest on […] the bed. The noise from other tennants was so disruptive until 6am in the morning. The bathroom was a disgrace, my shower was covered in hair, the sinks dirty as! Apparently Brisbane has one of the highest hotel/hostel occupance numbers in the world, meaning it's hard to find a room. Base offers both shared dorms and, what I took for two nights, single rooms. I got a room on the top floor (the roof) and it was very, very small. To use a bathroom I had to cross the roof, go down a floor and go through a corridor. […] The toilets and showers were separate from each other and no problem with occupance. They were also ok fresh. The room was more dirty though, at least on the floor but the bed felt ok. Checked for bed bugs, couldn't find any, nor traces for old ones (check tutorials for this on Youtube). The whole place is quite old though, so all utensils including the elevator, bathrooms etc, are very run down. Showers are always dripping, color is flaking off etc. But the worst things are twofold: it's very noisy (depending on where you live of course, Base is several stories high, singles are not only on roof), there is a ventilation shaft and stuff on the room which makes a heck of a noise, all day and all night. Earplugs recommended. Second, Base clearly targest young people who are backpacking so if that's you you will be able to meet lots of others in your situation, and get great advice from the very friendly and helpful staff. There's also a pub/bar on the bottom floor, the Down Under Bar, which is open many nights a week so the bass is heard a lot. That being said, I enjoyed my stay as everybody is very friendly, clean enough, cheap enough (among the cheapest in Brissy) and it's located very, very central (in a city which basically is a 2-million-population suburb). For those that wish to stay longer than just a couple of nights I recommend getting a room through any of the roommate sites. Cheers! This hostel is mainly for the younger backpacker, but we enjoyed our stay. (40 & 70) The hostel is very close to the central railway station, where all trains pass through. Would stay again.

This is a hostel, not a hotel. However, even for a hostel it was not great. The carpet in our room was wet, perhaps from cleaning, so the room smelled really musty, almost like an old forgotten gym bag. The toilets were quite dirty, some with missing toilet seats, and there was lots of hallway noise throughout the night. The blankets on the beds were […] not actual adult blankets, but a Dora the Explorer children's fleece blanket, so you have to choose whether to cover your feet or your shoulders. This hostel is in a very convenient location - right across the road from Central station and not far from Queen Street mall. My single room was very small but adequate and had a ceiling fan. The shared bathroom was decent and clean. The hostel can be a little loud so if you're a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing ear plugs. The reception service […] was gruff and not particularly friendly, and it seemed that they didn't record the fact that I had left a $20 key deposit, but it was still fairly efficient. Room was really hot ( and i was only one in there) hostel really was basic and toilets /showers not great. The bar and club which are attached is a good addition. but generally this is a very forgettable hostel.

Crappy bar called the down under right underneath the hostel. If you stay here get to Fortitude Valley where they have actual bars and clubs.

Barely a ok stay. It is NOT a hotel, but a hostel. Friendly staff, but VERY basic shower rooms and dusty rooms. Got free beer coupon for the bar down stairs. Also need to bring the sheets to reception when checking out. Ok for one night if you really have to like we did at the time...

At the edge of the CBS the base was convenient and generally well run apart from a decaying building which needs urgent repairs for public safety. Opposite central station and good if you like self absorbed backpacker types.

First of all ... it is a hostel ... so don't expect it to be like a nice hotel. But, it is a very nice, very convenient, well amenitized hostel. The location is great, right next to Central Station. The rooms are modest. The bathrooms clean. Secure luggage room. It has in-house laundry facilities. 極方便的地埋位置, 但夜晚嘈吵的關門聲令人難以入睡! 大部份客人都在淩晨1點回來, 然後去沖涼等, 出出入入D關門聲實在太吵! 如果你可以盡早訓著先, 然後唔會被嘈醒, 我會介紹呢度, 因為地點真係好方便!

Im Zimmer herrschte ein unangenehmer Geruch. Das Fenster konnte nicht geöffnet werden. Im Zimmer hatte es nur ein Bett. Die Toiletten waren zerstört, verstopft oder verschmutzt. Es war die ganze Nacht laut und hell. Wir haben schlecht geschlafen.

Detta var utan tvekan det sämsta vi varit med om, och då har vi rest runt länge!! Det var skitigt, rörigt och ett fruktansvärt liv. Mattorna på golvet var upptrampade ner till grundgolvet. Väggarna var inte färdig målade och var dem det hade det flagnat bort stora bitar. Fönster hade de satt igen med en träskiva om de saknades. Vi fick bädda våra egna […] sängar då vi kom, även fast det var sent på kvällen. De hade också gjort fel med bokningarna så vi fick byta rum varje dag. 더 보기

typisch Hostel, Zimmer mit Bett und Stuhl und sonst nichts

セントラル駅のすぐ隣でどこに行くにも非常に便利。部屋の掃除もきちんとされていました。レトロで珍しいエレベータがあったり、ホテル自体が古く歴史的な建物なので味があって良かったです。ただ、レセプションの女性の対応が、非常に横柄で挑発的だったのが大変残念でした。

Dette stedet er helt ok hvis du trenger et sted å bo i noen få dager. Toalettene og dusjene er ikke særlig tilfredsstillende. Det er SVÆRT lytt på soverommene. Veggene er som papp og over døren er det utskjæringer i treet slik at det er fult av "hull" ut til gangen og lyd slipper uhindret igjennom. Det er hovedsaklig studenter og backpackere som bor […] der, så det er mye festing. Det er utested i underetasjen så det blir mye gåing og bråk i gangene om kveldene. Selv på hverdager. Hvis du har lett for å våkne av støy om natten kan du ikke påregne mye søvn her. Folkene som jobber der er dog veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Du må sjekke ut før kl 10 og inn etter kl 14. Det er IKKE lov å ha glassflasker med inn og du får ikke drikke alkohol inne på hostellet. Alle fasiliteter som toalett, dusj og kjøkken er felles. 더 보기

Hostellet er fint, dog kan støjniveauet være ret højt. Rigtigt god beliggenhed i Brisbanes centrum.

屋頂可以小酌，外國人很多。地下室是pub,會有點吵，但整體來說很ok

很方便的背包客棧 對面就是CITY火車站 離POST或BANK都十分近 距離皇后街只需過兩條路口 可以說是十分方便的地方 房間也很舒適乾淨 公用廚房每天都有人打掃 且鍋碗瓢盆很多 不怕不夠用~ 真的很舒適
