I was impressed considering what I paid.

I wanted an inexpensive room in Queens conveniently located near a subway stop for one night. This one fit the bill nicely. Not a lot of shopping in the area, but there were restaurants near by.

It is a convenient place to stay, close to the subway, free breakfast and not to expensive... I think that if I go to NYC again I will book this hotel...

This is a great hotel if you're comfortable with the semi-industrial neighborhood. It's a mix of new condos,hotels, taxi schools and local shops. I stayed here in December 2011. The staff aren't the friendliest but are professional. The rooms are large, well furnished and clean. The biggest plus of this hotel was the price and location. This Hotel is close to the queens tube station, a short walk so u can catch a tube anywhere. The hotel staff on reception are very friendly and helpful, checked in quickly straight to the room, which was clean, spacious and comfy bed..everything i expected, i would definatly stay here again .

This hotel is perfect for a NYC visit. Subway is just down the street which takes you right into Time Square. The neighborhood isn't the greatest and as I read in another review, there are only 8 parking spots in front of the hotel so get there early. Even if you get a parking spot you will get blocked in but we backed into the spot and just drove down […] the sidewalk until we could get out. The rooms were clean and comfortable for what we were looking for, just a place to sleep. The staff needs some customer service training, they did their job, but that was it, they could learn to smile when you walk through the lobby when you come and go. 더 보기

The rooms are nice and modern but the breakfast area isn't kept clean and the food could be better. Presentation is key. Also, if you purchase a skyline view, request a high floor or the view will be obstructed by buildings.

Subway close by and only minutes to Manhattan. Great place to stay for the money and cleanliness and service. Only downfall is limited parking. Will NOT ever park across the street from hotel (not affilitated with hotel). overcharged and service very poor.

Just a couple of blocks from the subway. Friendly staff. Clean, well kept, rooms and large for what I expected in NY. If you want a bargain just a short train ride across the river from Manhattan this is the place to stay. Only drawback was no restaurants or dining close by but nice breakfast was offered each morning in the hotel.

Clean hotel close to the subway. The breakfast was poorly. Near hotel it is a gastation where you can buy chocolate, beer or fruits for a frendly price.

Reasonably well kept hotel. Better than other cheaper options in LIC in my experience.

Put in a basement room directly across from the laundry. Laundry door in open position my entire stay. Hotel management unsympathetic.

Room & service: The hotel is very new and clean (its still a building site on Google street view!), the rooms have massive comfy king size beds and very nice showers. There's good space in the rooms too, with large desk, good TV, wardrobe, bed side tables etc. The downside is the downstairs rooms - we were put in one on our first night and it was horrible. […] We were half underground, with an unbarred window leading straight into a car park. It was way too hot in the room, but we couldn't leave the window open as someone could literally slide in from ground level. In the morning we went to reception and we were moved immediately, no hassle, in 15 minutes. Generally the service was very good throughout our stay. We heard several other people complaining about these rooms. Breakfast: Even though our rate here said breakfast not included, it was. This was much more of a hostel style affair than hotel, but not in a bad way - very much help yourself (even cook yourself, with waffle irons) and using disposable plastic plates/cutlery, but a great selection (from scrambled egg and sausages through to cereals, yoghurt and doughnuts/cakes. Location: In one way, the location is great. It's easy to get to on the air train/metro from JFK (on the E) and you are within short walking distance of the several metro lines into Manhattan from three different stops. For the cheap price we paid, not being in Manhattan was a fair price to pay. However, with the exception of a 24-hour petrol station next door there is nothing to eat/drink unless you walk a good 15 minutes away. If someone opened a nice bar next door, this place would be close to perfect! They clearly realise this at the hotel too, as they give you a stack of takeaway menus on the way in - perhaps they should turn the basement into a bar/restaurant instead of crappy rooms? Overall: As long as we could get a great rate again, and avoid a cellar room, we'd definitely stay here on another trip to New York. 더 보기

Seeing as its in Queens, I was kinda nervous about getting out of the train since there were several shady people around the #7 train stop. The hotel itself was good enough for me to want to return for future business trips as their rates merit it.

The hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the MTR which gives good links to all New York locations. A single ticket is $2.25 to any location on the system (Returns no cheaper, expires after two hours, weekly tickets are cheaper). Breakfast is continental style, good variety, sausages & fried eggs and waffles available. Breakfast room is small for the size of the hotel. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi all worked ok. Rooms on the back of the hotel are quieter as this is away from the road. Staff were helpful, kept cases for late departure and arranged airport taxi. Beware if flying in/out of Newark Airport, the shared shuttle bus services will NOT go to Queens hotels, you need a limousine service. The one arranged by the hotel cost $95 and it can easily take up to one and a half hours at peak times because of the New York traffic. We would defiantly stay at this hotel again. 더 보기

good inexpensive hotel in comparison to the hotels in Manhattan,the train is only a 5min walk down the road and brings you directly in to times square and other attractions.

Very convenient for those using a subway pass. Just minutes from Manhattan. Much cheaper than staying in Manhattan. Nice hotel, well run, clean, good neighborhood.

We had a comfortable stay, though the noise from the corridor was kind of too big for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was pretty rich. We will definitely go back there.

The location of this hotel is really good because it requires just 5 and 10 min to get the subway station Queensboro Plaza (N, Q, 7) and Queens Plaza (E, M, R). Continental breakfast is also satisfactory, especially bread, waffle and juice. Because of nearby taxi gas station, early morning noise by taxi horn is a sole weak point of this hotel.

First off..I mistakenly believed there was free parking as listed in hotel services listing. Wrong....there is only free parking for the first 8 cars!. Since I arrived late, I was forced to park on the street two blocks aways...in a very very scary neighborhood. Next day my car was still there (surprising) but a $115 ticket was on my window. The room […] was clean and ok....but it was in the basement! I actually took the elevator down! The service was also very bad....including a forgotten wake up call that made me late in the morning. Except the one night that we did'nt have electricity in our room (only in our room), our stay was pleasant. The hotel was clean and close to the subway (about one block).

The staff were very gracious and helpful. The hotel is close to two subway stations which was very convenient.

Clean room and easy to take subway to Manhattan.

Hotel is close to the Train Station, close to Times Square, and LGA Airport. Good value for money.

Just a block from the subway, and a few stops into landmarks, country inn & suites is where i always stay! Clean and a great breakfast served, you can never go wrong! City view rooms are available too! Great price for a nice location!

Country Inn and Suites was a great find for us. A short, 2 block walk to the subway, trains right into Manhattan. The breakfast offered was plentiful and varied, including hot food choices (eggs, waffles.) The staff was helpful and knowledgable and we made use of the lobby computer to help plan our trips downtown. There was a problem with a leaky faucet […] that the staff took care of in a timely manner. The only downfall was the shortage of parking. We parked our rental on the street in front of the hotel for 3 days, as there are only 7 parking spaces for the building. On Monday we had to move the car due to street sweeping and spent about an hour trying to find a spot in this very crowded residential neighborhood. This inconvenience was more than balanced with the incredible price, easily half or even less of what we would have paid elsewhere. The hotel is new and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. It was very clean and spacious, and a very short walk from the Queensboro Plaza subway station. Nice service. Good continental breakfast in the morning. There is very limited parking at the hotel, so if you don't need a car, don't bring it...

It is kind of difficult to get to the hotel and it only has 6 parking spaces in front of the hotel. The good about this hotel are the room is bigger than those hotels in Manhattan, parking is cheaper, subway is in walking distance, and the breakfeast is just OK. No washing maching and you can hear maids talking on the hallway in the morning.

The room was very clean. It was very convenient to the city, and only a short walk from the subway but the area felt kinda dodgy at night. the room was very clean - we searched the bed for bedbugs - none to be found. Breakfast was also pretty good. waffle maker was a nice touch :)

Was very hard to understand the Indian woman's English at the front desk.

Location of this property is great, extremely convenient to the Subway and bus. The hotel was extremely clean. The only disappointment was the misnomer of "free parking." There are five or six spots out front that are first come, first served. Otherwise, you must use a pay lot a block away, which was reasonably priced, but clearly not free.

Overall fine. But surroundings could be friendlier at night and my room was underground with just a small high window giving onto the ground of a parking lot.

The hotel itself feels new, is immaculately clean, and the rooms quiet, large, and comfortable compared to other city hotels in its price range. Although not on Manhatten, its location less than two blocks from the 7, N, and Q trains at Queensboro Plaza makes connections to elsewhere in the city practical. The neighborhood feels safe but industrial. […] For instance, a large service station frequented by what seemed to be every taxi in Queens abuts the hotel. No ambiance or street life here. For restaurants, shops, and a city street scene take the 7 train two stops further to 46th & Bliss Streets, the heart of the Queens Sunnyside neighborhood. This hotel is the best value anywhere near Manhattan. If you don't mind a short subway ride into the city, make sure you book your stay at Country Inns and Suites in Long Island City. It is close to the Queens subway stations and only takes 15 minutes to get to the city. We had a great stay and will definitely choose this hotel again!

The female receptionist had a really bad attitude. When we requested for luggage hold before check-in time, she answered rudely and said "WE DON'T TAKE responsible of the luggage. Although the hotel is close to the subway station, but the descriptions are misleading. There are only 6 parking lots out of the hotel and you should park your car in the street. I prefer to know all the truth when I am reading the descriptions. Moro ever, the internet connection was supper slow. The rooms are very small.

I chose this hotel because it was a little over a block away from the 7 train which made it very convenient for me. Hotel was clean, staff was nice. I believe this is a new hotel. I chose a room with a view for me it was worth the extra $10 it was beautiful.

After trying to find a reasonable cost hotel in the Times Square area a friend suggested that we stay someplace close and take the subway. This hotel does not have high end restaurants close by but there are plenty of places to eat that are good. Fair pricing for NY, close to Subway and great bed!

The neighborhood is barebones. the best they could recomment for dinner was aGreek sandwich shop. The lack of convenient eating facilities was not well publicied. Cheap and convient is fine. But full disclosure.
