In Queens’ western edge, Long Island City hosts a vibrant art scene, on display at PS1. Immigrants make up nearly half of the population of this New York borough. Jackson Heights is home to Little India. Jamaica has long welcomed African Americans and West Indians. Corona is the resting place of trumpeter Louis Armstrong, and Astoria has one of the largest Greek populations outside of Greece.
롱아일랜드시티 지역의 모든 호텔 보기Room was very clean but it was small and a bit crampy. Free parking is limited to about four curbside spots. Was told street parking and a paying parking lot was an alternative for guests who can't find free spots. Street that hotel is located on is too crowded with cars. Hotel is close to a few grocery stores. Breakfast was adequate with its limited […] choices. Overall, the hotel is ok for just a rest stop. 더 보기
"Very good hotel"
We found the employees very friendly, accomodating, gave helpful advice and the overall service very good! We will stay here again!
"Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, NYC Queens"
My husband and I stayed here for New Year's Eve this year. It is only a block to the F train, for a quick 15 min ride into Manhattan. We were going to a concert at Madison Square Garden, so it was super easy. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but you are literally at the subway station in moments, so I was never too worried. Rooms were clean, comfortable, […] staff was VERY nice at check in and check out. Would def recommend for a cheaper alternative to staying right in the city, as long as you are ok with taking the subway! 더 보기
"cheap and good"
it was one of the cheapest rates i got whenever i went to nyc for the new year's even tho i booked on the 30th. all of me and my friends stayed in one bedroom no problem,,,,staff is nice,,,location is alright 3 miles from times square,,, the only problem is that they don't provide parking spots for the guests!!!
"Country Inn & Suites in Queens is awesome"
This was my first time in NYC, so I had a little trouble finding the subway stop for the hotel. Once I did, it was a short walk, I felt safe and the hotel was outstanding by any measure - but especially for the price.
"Comfort Inn Queens - Nice Hotel, Neighborhood Not"
The front desk staff is rude and cold, but once you get past them, the rooms are fairly attractive and comfortable. The neighborhood, however, is very industrial and kind of scary after dark. The area is convenient to subways to Manhattan and taxis to and from there are affordable. The breakfast room is clean and spacious and the choices of hot and […] cold foods are good. This hotel advertises free parking as if there is a lot large enough to accommodate all guests, but there are really only about four spaces right in front of the hotel. All in all, if you need a clean, comfortable, rasonably-priced hotel that is close to Manhattan, this one will do just fine. I have stayed in this hotel three times. 더 보기
"Clean, comfortable, reasonable, great breakfast!"
Country Inn and Suites in Long Island City was just what we needed. It is convenient to the subway and close to Manhattan. The room had coffee maker, frig and microwave. The free breakfast included Belgian waffles, sausage, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit and several other items. We were very pleased.
"Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, NYC in Queens"
Very nice hotel. Relatively new it had that "new hotel smell". We were fortunate to have a view of Manhattan. Conviently near subway and bus service just minutes to NYC and other points in Queens, such as Long Island City area and Astoria too. So no need for a car but if you do happen to have one note that there is very limited parking and alternate […] side parking rules in effect (except weekends and holidays-whew!). The hotel staff was very respectable nice and quick. The maid service was good too. I went with my girlfriend and had a very nice time we would definitly check in to this hotel again. 더 보기
"Great price for NY"
I actually live in NYC but was in between places so got a great deal on this hotel room. Great location and price, very convenient for multiple subway access. Take the 7 train a block away for quick access to times square and grand central. Take the E train to World Trade center and downtown. Take the N, Q, R or F to Hearld Square and Macy's. If you're […] adventurous take the G to Brooklyn and explore Williamsburg. Near by in Long Island City is a first rate park (Gantry Plaza) that over looks the East River with excellent views of Manhattan, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building etc.. also great spots for brunch near this park. If you're lucky you'll get a room facing the city with spectacular views. I actually recommended to a friend who had booked a hotel in NJ which she ended up canceling and saving $200 by staying here and she was really excited about the view. 더 보기
"New and nice"
If visiting NYC and can't afford to stay in the city, or have to catch a flight out of LGA but don't want to be too far away, this is the place. Very conveniently located between both. Is a newer hotel, therefore still clean and nice.
"Recommended, but with an asterisk . . ."
If you're one of those visitors to NYC who uses your hotel mostly as a place to dump your stuff and doesn't spend much time there -- or don't care to soak in a "hotel experience" -- then this will work fairly well for you. I was there doing some business in Long Island, so I chose this hotel based mostly for location and convenience. It's not terrible, […] but it's not great, either. There's very little parking (not an issue for me, since I came by subway) but don't be fooled by promises of free parking -- there are only six spaces in front of the building. It's very close to a subway (Queensboro Plaza), so if you're looking to make a quick leap to Times Square, you can't beat the proximity to a subway that won't require three changes to get into the city. The rooms weren't quite what I expected, after having stayed in other similar hotels in this chain -- just one room, with a small fridge and microwave, with not much space to put anything. Decent TV and an alarm clock you can plug your iPod into. Bathroom just okay -- a bit shopworn already (isn;'t this hotel relatively new?) but a good shower with good water pressure. Free wi-fi in the room is a plus, too, though my connection was a bit unreliable (and calling the front desk is no help -- they'll simply tell you 'it works fine' and that'll be it). I found the front desk staff generally helpful and pleasant, with a quick check in, and a room ready for me well before the designated check-in time. So, points there. The free breakfast was just so-so. Nothing stale or old, as some have complained, but only one slow old toaster to handle the bagel and toast-heavy buffet, which caused a complete backup. Surrounding neighborhood might be an issue for some. It's not necessarily unsafe, but it may seem sketchy to those unfamiliar with New York neighborhood. The week I was there, it was noisy on the street at night, though that's not something the hotel can control. Just be aware that life continues on the streets well afte 더 보기
Hotel was very clean and staff pleasant.

The location is best for people who don't want to stay only in Manhattan. From the LGA airport, it cost only $15 for a cab. Their breakfast was very nice. We also liked the room temparature which was perfect.
"an evening in New York"
Very Conveniently located near subway. Excellent place to stay for an evening of festivities in New York. We rented two rooms very clean, very quiet.
"Good!"
No complaints about this hotel! It's very closeby to a subway station, so you can be in Manhattan in about 20 minutes (for $2,50). The room is clean, the bed is very large and comfartable and the bathroom is equipped with a bathtub. In the morning there's a complimentary breakfast which was very nice. I would definitely stay here again!

"Country Inn"
I was impressed considering what I paid.
"Conveniently Located and Clean"
I wanted an inexpensive room in Queens conveniently located near a subway stop for one night. This one fit the bill nicely. Not a lot of shopping in the area, but there were restaurants near by.
"Convenient..."
It is a convenient place to stay, close to the subway, free breakfast and not to expensive... I think that if I go to NYC again I will book this hotel...
"Perfect hotel for savvy city travelers"
This is a great hotel if you're comfortable with the semi-industrial neighborhood. It's a mix of new condos, hotels, taxi schools and local shops. We felt safe and it's just a couple blocks to some very common Subway lines. You can't be the view! Free Parking is only 6 spaces but there's a fenced lot on the next block with daily parking half what you'd […] pay in Manhattan 더 보기
"Good Hotel in a Good Location"
I stayed here in December 2011. The staff aren't the friendliest but are professional. The rooms are large, well furnished and clean. The biggest plus of this hotel was the price and location. It was much cheaper than staying on Manhattan and was within 2 minutes walk of 2 subway stations. Times Square is around 5-10 mins on the subway. I would stay […] here again. 더 보기
"Visiting New York....Wonder where to stay??"

"Close to subway"
This hotel is perfect for a NYC visit. Subway is just down the street which takes you right into Time Square. The neighborhood isn't the greatest and as I read in another review, there are only 8 parking spots in front of the hotel so get there early. Even if you get a parking spot you will get blocked in but we backed into the spot and just drove down […] the sidewalk until we could get out. The rooms were clean and comfortable for what we were looking for, just a place to sleep. The staff needs some customer service training, they did their job, but that was it, they could learn to smile when you walk through the lobby when you come and go. 더 보기
The rooms are nice and modern but the breakfast area isn't kept clean and the food could be better. Presentation is key. Also, if you purchase a skyline view, request a high floor or the view will be obstructed by buildings.
"Country Inn & Suites-great location"
Subway close by and only minutes to Manhattan. Great place to stay for the money and cleanliness and service. Only downfall is limited parking. Will NOT ever park across the street from hotel (not affilitated with hotel). overcharged and service very poor.
"Great location, clean, well maintained, bargain"
Just a couple of blocks from the subway. Friendly staff. Clean, well kept, rooms and large for what I expected in NY. If you want a bargain just a short train ride across the river from Manhattan this is the place to stay. Only drawback was no restaurants or dining close by but nice breakfast was offered each morning in the hotel.
"Hotel Queens"
Clean hotel close to the subway. The breakfast was poorly. Near hotel it is a gastation where you can buy chocolate, beer or fruits for a frendly price.
"Fine for a bed near manhattan"
Reasonably well kept hotel. Better than other cheaper options in LIC in my experience.
"Horrible"
Put in a basement room directly across from the laundry. Laundry door in open position my entire stay. Hotel management unsympathetic.
"Great hotel a little off the beaten track"
Room & service: The hotel is very new and clean (its still a building site on Google street view!), the rooms have massive comfy king size beds and very nice showers. There's good space in the rooms too, with large desk, good TV, wardrobe, bed side tables etc. The downside is the downstairs rooms - we were put in one on our first night and it was horrible. […] We were half underground, with an unbarred window leading straight into a car park. It was way too hot in the room, but we couldn't leave the window open as someone could literally slide in from ground level. In the morning we went to reception and we were moved immediately, no hassle, in 15 minutes. Generally the service was very good throughout our stay. We heard several other people complaining about these rooms. Breakfast: Even though our rate here said breakfast not included, it was. This was much more of a hostel style affair than hotel, but not in a bad way - very much help yourself (even cook yourself, with waffle irons) and using disposable plastic plates/cutlery, but a great selection (from scrambled egg and sausages through to cereals, yoghurt and doughnuts/cakes. Location: In one way, the location is great. It's easy to get to on the air train/metro from JFK (on the E) and you are within short walking distance of the several metro lines into Manhattan from three different stops. For the cheap price we paid, not being in Manhattan was a fair price to pay. However, with the exception of a 24-hour petrol station next door there is nothing to eat/drink unless you walk a good 15 minutes away. If someone opened a nice bar next door, this place would be close to perfect! They clearly realise this at the hotel too, as they give you a stack of takeaway menus on the way in - perhaps they should turn the basement into a bar/restaurant instead of crappy rooms? Overall: As long as we could get a great rate again, and avoid a cellar room, we'd definitely stay here on another trip to New York. 더 보기

"COUNTRY INN, L.I.C., QUEENS, NY"
1. ROOM SIZE NOT LARGE BUT ADEQUATE. 2. BED WAS EXCELLENT; BATHROOM SPACIOUS. 3. 2 BLOCKS TO TWO SUBWAY LINES TO MANHATTAN; SHORT RIDE TO MIDTOWN; GREAT VIEW OF THE MANHATTAN SKYLINE FROM MY ROOM. 4. BREAKFAST WAS ADEQUATE; WAFFLE MAKER POSED PROBLEM TO MANY PEOPLE IN THE BREAKFAST ROOM. THE WAFFLES STUCK TO GRIDDLE EVEN WITH SPRAYING. 5. NEIGHBORHOOD […] WAS COMMERCIAL/RESIDENTIAL; NOT ESTHETICALLY APPEALING BUT SAFE FOR WALKING. THE CONVENIENCE OVERCAME THE APPEARANCE. 6. LOCAL RESTAURANTS WERE ABOUT A 15-MINUTE WALK ON BROADWAY NEAR THE ELEVATED TRAIN STATION FOR THE N & Q LINES. MOST OF THE PLACES WERE FAST FOOD CHINESE. HOWEVER, I FOUND AN EXCELLENT GREEK RESTAURANT; FOOD GREAT, SERVICE EXCELLENT, AMBIANCE VERY PLEASANT; ETHNIC GREEK PATRONS AND OTHERS. 더 보기
"Satisfied stay for being a business trip"
Seeing as its in Queens, I was kinda nervous about getting out of the train since there were several shady people around the #7 train stop. The hotel itself was good enough for me to want to return for future business trips as their rates merit it.

"The Country Inn & Suites in Queens"
The hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the MTR which gives good links to all New York locations. A single ticket is $2.25 to any location on the system (Returns no cheaper, expires after two hours, weekly tickets are cheaper). Area is business/residential and walking is safe, but suggest taxi if very late at night. Beware of noise in the morning if […] on 1st floor near to restaurant. Breakfast is continental style, good variety, sausages & fried eggs and waffles available. Breakfast room is small for the size of the hotel. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi all worked ok. Rooms on the back of the hotel are quieter as this is away from the road. Staff were helpful, kept cases for late departure and arranged airport taxi. Beware if flying in/out of Newark Airport, the shared shuttle bus services will NOT go to Queens hotels, you need a limousine service. The one arranged by the hotel cost $95 and it can easily take up to one and a half hours at peak times because of the New York traffic. We would defiantly stay at this hotel again. 더 보기
good inexpensive hotel in comparison to the hotels in Manhattan, the train is only a 5min walk down the road and brings you directly in to times square and other attractions.

Very convenient for those using a subway pass. Just minutes from Manhattan. Much cheaper than staying in Manhattan. Nice hotel, well run, clean, good neighborhood.

"reasonable at the time of US OPEN"
We had a comfortable stay, though the noise from the corridor was kind of too big for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was pretty rich. We will definitely go back there.
"Very comfortable and nice breakfast"
The location of this hotel is really good because it requires just 5 and 10 min to get the subway station Queensboro Plaza (N, Q, 7) and Queens Plaza (E, M, R). Continental breakfast is also satisfactory, especially bread, waffle and juice. Because of nearby taxi gas station, early morning noise by taxi horn is a sole weak point of this hotel.
"Beware....."
First off..I mistakenly believed there was free parking as listed in hotel services listing. Wrong....there is only free parking for the first 8 cars!. Since I arrived late, I was forced to park on the street two blocks aways...in a very very scary neighborhood. Next day my car was still there (surprising) but a $115 ticket was on my window. The room […] was clean and ok....but it was in the basement! I actually took the elevator down! The service was also very bad....including a forgotten wake up call that made me late in the morning. The breakfast layout was free and pretty big.....but the place was super crowded and the food was not fresh (rock hard bagels). I grabbed coffee and ran. I will not return. 더 보기

"Long Island Country Inn"
Except the one night that we did'nt have electricity in our room (only in our room), our stay was pleasant. The hotel was clean and close to the subway (about one block).
The staff were very gracious and helpful. The hotel is close to two subway stations which was very convenient.
"New Hotel with great location"
Clean room and easy to take subway to Manhattan.
