This was the best get-away I have ever experienced! I was invited to sit by the fire with a glass of wine while the staff took my luggage to my room! I don't even remember checking in, that's how easy it all was! I relaxed by the fire, enjoyed the amazing scenery of snow covered hills and pine trees, then asked someone where to find my room. They know […] who I was and where I should go. The room was warm, had a beautiful fireplace and floor to ceiling views of the snowy mountains. The lobby bar was relaxed and easy - even for a woman traveling alone. I was free to be as involved or as "hermity" as I wanted. I want to go back! It even snowed overnight, "forcing" me to stay an extra day! I lounged the hotel, considered skiing, but then just took the gondola to Northstar Village for sushi instead. We stayed here over Thanksgiving to get out of the city and get some early season skiing in. The hotel is incredible, one of the better Ritz Carltons I have stayed at. Two things made the experience more enjoyable than a standard hotel stay: 1) The Ritz had ski and snowboard rental and ski-valet on-site, as well as lift ticket counters. We simply pulled […] up, got changed in our room, and one of us needed rental equipment so everything was incredibly convenient. The convenience of the parking, rental, lift tickets, equipment storage and of course, the ski-in / ski-out of the hotel made the price of the room that much more worth it. Anyone that has spent time at crowded ski resorts knows how frustrating that whole process can be and 2) the Thanksgiving buffet they offered (they apparently also do one on Christmas and New Years) was incredibly ornate and was as visually stunning as it was palatable. And as always, the service at the hotel was impeccable (almost to a fault - the ski-valets come out and greet you on the mountain and carry your equipment for you...I'm not THAT lazy) - the bartender even comped us a few drinks after a particularly tough college football rivalry game my team had lost, the rooms were very nice (the fireplaces in the room were a nice touch), and the main lobby/lounge area is a great way to spend a relaxing evening after a huge Thanksgiving dinner (they also serve food if you need a break from the slopes). The restaurant inside the hotel is also pretty good, as well, although we only ate their for breakfast. I only have one small gripe - our room had a lack of privacy because it faced directly onto the gondola, so there was a lot of time spent with shades drawn. May be worth upgrading to a "mountain view" if you can spare the expense. The price is the price, but I feel like you clearly get what you pay for. 더 보기

Our family just came back from a short ski trip to Northstar (3 days). We had previously stayed at the Village but this time we stay at the Ritz. We loved it !!! The staff was super attentive and I greatly enjoyed using the services of the Mountain Concierge. It's wonderful not having to carry all your equipment and ski in/out of the hotel. The pool […] and hot tubs were great and really enjoyed the live music at the lounge. Great Family Time !!! The only negative is that the food at the lounge can be improved. Mainly limited selection and not up to the quality that I will expect at this price point . Nevertheless, the Mojitos were fantastic... Looking fwd to a future visit ... 더 보기

The service at Manzanita is excellent but the chefs have just given up! It was me and my wife dinner anniversary and the food was just lacking passion. The ingredients were the best but our roasted beet salad was blend, we order meet as entree, my wife lamb was alive, not medium rare, my meat duo was one piece well done another piece rare and the third […] piece extremely salty. Off course we did not order dessert, we pay our bill and went to another restaurant since my wife was still hungry!! 더 보기

Stayed in all the nice hotels around the world and this one takes the prize. Stunning location and views the lodge is reminiscent of a retro Ski Chalet simimal to what you'd see in the movie the Shining. When I walked in I wouldnt have been surprised to see Jack Nicholson bouncing a tennis ball. Great ambiance, staff and pool with a view. Great mt biking […] behind the property and Close to Lake Tahoe but far enough away to avoid the madness of the crowds. rebooking a winter trip cant wait to get back. Tacos at the lobby bar were great too. Encouorage the removal of $35 per day resort fee and $10 a day WiFi charges they are too nickel and dime for a 5 star resort in my opinion 더 보기

Overall an amazing trip/stay. Great hospitality, great service, amazing view.

Great hotel and even better service. Their dining is good but pricey, but worth eating there at least one night. We told the front desk we were celebrating our sons birthday and they surprised us with a cookie treat. The hotel is off the beating path . Great family pool area. Would stay at another Ritz if I could.

You don't even have to leave the hotel - everything you want is right there - nor do you want to leave the premises!

This was the finest hotel we have ever encountered. The staff clearly understands service with a smile.

This place just is not what I would consider Ritz quality. The beds are uncomfortable (and ours was broken). They nickle and dime you over everything. As though the room price isn't enough, they will tack on a resort fee, $35 for parking, etc etc etc. And the costly "upgrade" to a mountain view room will land you a room over the pool.

I've always enjoyed the Ritz Carlton hotel's, although, I usually stay on special occasions since the room rate is typically high. This property offers the best that the Ritz has to offer at about 1/2 the price (during off-season). Hotel is new, Staff is amazing and the beauty of the surrounding environment is breathtaking!

This was an amazing hotel, with amazing staff. They really made us feel welcome and helped us celebrate our wedding! Staff went out of their way to make it a special weekend. It was an expensive stay though - the room rate was great on Hotels.com but the extras were a killer. The breakfast staff were at first upset that we wanted something from another […] kitchen in the hotel (very snobby about it), but that really was only one server and the remainder made up for the bad manners of the first. The rest of the restaurant staff were outstanding - as was the food. Beautiful decor in the hotel and our room was gorgeous (with a HUGE tub we both soaked in easily!) 더 보기

This hotel is amazing! The free goundla was just awesome and free! If you mountain bike, and you are going their in the off season bring it! I missed out on some great down hill mountain biking! Did not like all the resort fee's that we charged to us, however we found the spa was free, and the gonadala was free so it was a wash. I would recommend […] this hotel. 더 보기
