The hotel is really good, u have everything that u need here and it's really nice that in the bathroom the floor is warm, so no problems when u go out from shower. the room is big and nice :) the location is very good, close to the main street (less than 5 minutes) and close to the center (15 minutes, 10 to hermitage), and the walk is really nice (buildings, […] bridges..) Fantastic location near metrostation, McDonald´s and all the biggest shopping places. Very safe hotel, clean and a huge plus was the kitchen area for guests. Free coffee and tea. Very friendly staff and spoke slowly Russian, really felt me confident to use the language! Thank you so much for the lovely experience!!

+ good breakfast included in the all ready low price + small cosy room, Perfect for Romantic Meetings + friendly staff + good price - unpleasant smell from the cloak in the bathroom. The staff provide air freshened if you ask for it. - some what cold in the room and especially in the corridor and the kitchen.

Taxi driver found the hotel with no problem. Scary entrance - parts of ceiling falling down, dark stairway to 5th floor hotel or very narrow, very small elevator. Could fit only one person and one suitcase at a time. Once in the lobby, all was okay. Clean, comfortable, though small room. Breakfast was okay. The hotel is in a good location, but is situated on the 5th floor. with a tiny lift. Our stay was good but 1st room we got was not good. tyhen they changed the room. Breakfasts are not of any quality, basic. Staff are friendly but there is not much staffing.

We enjoyed our stay there.. Great location.. All we cared about was a place to sleep.. However, we didnt expect such a great breakfast each morning.. In the middle of the city.. Would stay there again

This hotel is too expensive according to what it offers. I was scared when I arrived as the entrance is horrible and you cannot find anything in the building until 5th floor. The breakfast is poor. The only positive point is the location.

What you see on the pic is not a hotel. It's an old and famous theater. Hotel uses a small part of the top floor, with access through a locked side door. Rooms are small, but clean (+daily cleaning), with working air-conditioner and TV (all channels are in Russian). Water pressure is an issue, especially when others are using it. 20 years ago this would have been a great hotel, now it is convenient and trustworthy but not at western standards. The staff is very friendly and makes up for the lack of common areas. The breakfast area is at the size of a kitchen and what is offered is simple but enough. The shower cabin needed very fine tuning to not produce too hot or too cold […] water and even if preset it would take about 7-8 minutes to arrive with pressure being very low at peak hours. Wireless internet connection (the only available) was between very weak an non-existent in the room. The location is the best I can think of, as it is quiet but within 10-15 minutes walking to the very center (nevsky/kazanskaya) and metro stations. I had read in some previous reviews about the municipality registration fee but this is apparently standard for longer stays. Overall it gave a secure feeling which was important when being first time in Russia. 더 보기

Hotel is close to sights, only a short metro ride. Metro stations are a couple of blocks away. It's also a block away from main shopping and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and accomodating; spoke very good English. They get out of their way to explain how to get to places/sights we wanted to visit. We had ample breakfast in the morning; much more […] than the usual continental breakfast in the U.S. The only hard part was to find the place for the first time. There should be a bigger address/title of hotel on the exterior of the building. But once you know where you're going, it's okay. Good location, next to Nevsky Prospekt (shopping street) and a 24 hour convenience shop just across the street. Elevator to bring your luggage to 5th Floor (small but great to have, trust me, the B&B i booked in Moscow has no elevator and I have to climb 4 flight of stairs). Не первый раз останавливаемся в этом отеле. Не устаю хвалить обслуживающий персонал. Милый отель, очень удобное местоположение. Просто советую всем, кто ценит экономию своего бюджета.

Единственный отель за эти деньги, в котором можно было снять номер с душем и туалетом не на этаже, а в самом номере. Очень сильная слышимость, в соседнем номере парочка постоянно занималась сексом :)

Уже не первый раз останавливаюсь в этом отеле. Всё устраивает : Цена соответствует качеству. Единственный недостаток в этот раз было то, что отсутствовал обогреватель в номере. В номере было очень холодно.

Отель неплохой, обслуживание хорошее, завтрак хороший. Единственный минус- звукоизоляция плохая и слышишь постоянные звонки в дверь и утренние хлопоты по приготовлению завтрака.

Mukava pieni hotelli, jossa hyvä aamiainen. Meillä oli ihana kulmahuoneisto, jossa tornihuone. Sijainti lähellä Nevskiä ja poikkesimme jazz-ravintolassa hyvin lähellä hotellia. Valitettavasti hissi ei toiminut ja kävely 5. kerrokseen ei niin mukavassa rappukäytävässä harmitti hiukan.

Jag har skrivit ja när det gäller att rekommendera hotellet till andra. Det svaret gäller enbart nära vänner som jag är säker på att de inte skulle backa när de kliver in genom den oansenliga entrén och in i det förskräckliga trapphuset. Det gäller också vänner som kan tänka sig att stå ut med att höra möss eller råttor i väggarna. Till frukost behöver […] man komma i god tid för att inte t.ex. yuoghurten tagit slut. Meget central beliggenhed, ukompliceret, søde ansatte, god pris.

Trevlig personal, rena och fina i rum, bra pris, perfekt läge. Nära hotellet finns en mataffär på andra sidan av gatan, Mc Donalds och många restauranger. Själv kommer jag från Ryssland och vet hur dyrt det kan vara med ett hotel mitt i stan så rekomenderar varmt detta hotel för det är väldigt prisvärt.

The entrance on Rubinsteina is just a normal door with no Hotel signs, just a hand written piece of paper on the doorbell. (Cyrillic letters) The stairway does not look like the entrance of a Hotel. But Elegy is at the Fifth floor of a theater building. The staff (also the cleaning) speaks good english and are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean […] and has what most tourists need. The bathroom was newly renovated and I did not discover any hot water problems during my one week stay. The hotel is pretty small and quiet and has a kitchen, with complementary coffee and cold water, which also serves as the breakfast "restaurant" for a standard breakfast with a pretty small selection. The kitchen also serves as "the place you go from some of the rooms to far away from the internet router". And when you connect the Internet connection works excellent. And Elegy has a very central location On Rubinsteina, which has quite a fine selection of restaurants, pubs and 24 hour kiosks. And you are close to everything including the Metro. 더 보기

Elegy is situated on the 5th floor of a theater building a block away from Nevsky St. - a great location. The staff is young and friendly and speaks excellent English. You don't find luxury, but the bed was great, the bathroom renovated and the breakfast exceeded all expectations. You really get a lot for a small price. The water pressure in the shower […] was low, but we knew that from previous reports. Two metro stations (Vladimirskaja and Dostojevskaja) are just around the corner. Personalen på hotellet är underbar lite familjär alltså. det enda var trapporna till våningen där hotellet finns, de var gräsliga, men hotellet var mycket bra.

We were very happy staying at Elegy near Nevsky P and in a street with some very nice restaurants. The staff was very helpful and competent.

Проживали в отеле 4 суток. Были приятно удивлены сервисом, уютной атмосферой, отсутствием напрягающих моментов. Рекомендуем всем, кто хочет достойного сервиса за приемлемую цену.

Elegy on pieni viidennessä kerroksessa oleva hotelli joka on helppo löytää koska rakennuksen väri poikkeaa muusta katukuvasta. Hotellin ulko-ovi erottuu jotenkuten, ja painonapilla saadaan yhteys respaan. Kun ovi avautuu, voi herkimmille tulla shokki. Talon rappu on epäsiisti ja ahdas hissi vaikuttaa epäluotettavalta. Se toimii kyllä. Itse hotelliin […] kun pääsee, vaikutelma muuttuu. Sisätilat ovat siistejä, tosin käytävät ja aamiaishuone ahtaita. Meitä oli kolme. Perusvuoteet on hyviä, lisävuode pyrki hajoamaan aikuisen painosta. Huone kylpyhuoneineen on siisti ja kalustettu uusilla varusteilla. Suihkusta tuli vettä heikolla paineella. Sillä tuli toimeen. Sijainti on parasta Elegyssä. Nevski on lähellä, samoin punaisen linjan metroasema Vladimirskaja. Punaisella linjalla pääsee Pietarin Suomen asemalle. 더 보기

palvelu oli hyvä, huone oli siisti, sijainti sopivan lähellä muttei keskellä kaupungin turistihyörinää. Ilmastointi vain oli huonoa.

Dejligt hyggeligt lille hotel med rigtig god beliggenhed. God service og ok morgenmad til kl. 10.30-11... så du kan sove længe!! Og så er det billigt.

Mich hat es sehr bewundert, dass man für die Registrierung (die in Russland obligatorisch ist), extra zahlen musste. Wir haben allerdings keine Quittung über den Betrag erhalten. Das Personal war unterschiedlich hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war einfach schlecht. Das Bad nicht sauber (ohne Badeschlappen nicht duschen!). Die Lage des Hotels ist aber sehr […] gut, das einzige Positivum. Möglicherweise kann man für diesen Preis nur diese Qualität im heutigen Russland bekommen. 더 보기

Милый отель. Завтраки просто супер. Даже не ожидали, что будет настолько разнообразно. Номер каждый день убирали, ежедневно меняли полотенца. В номере есть обогреватели электрические. Для нас теплолюбивых, это был большой плюс. Т.к. питерская коммунальное отопление для нас - это не очень комфортно. Поэтому обогреватели в номере - это здорово. Персонал […] очень приветливый. Номер был на Графский переулок - очень тихая улочка, утром тишина. Недостатки: запах сырости в ванной, но я думаю, что в старом питерском жилфонде от этого избавиться очень сложно. Поэтому этим не заморачивались. В общем всё было отлично. Сразу зарезервировали себе номер на следующую поездку. 더 보기
