ATHENS HOTEL SUITES - 휴스턴

Good location to downtown and quiet. One floor up steps but otherwise ok for seniors. Price reasonable for downtown Houston.

It is not the Ritz but was a value mostly due to location. Room was fine, lobby so - so. I would stay there again next time and save the money for a nice meal in the neighborhood.

Walking distance to Geroge R. Brown Convention Center, Toyota Center and Minute Aid Park

The only complaint I had was the parking. There are ample parking lots surrounding the hotel (even alot of street parking), but because of special events the weekend I was there (basketball game, marathon) I was having to pay for parking twice/day. I had a conference to attend and was trying to save a little. The price is half of what you would pay in Hilton, so it saves a lot of money! The neighbourhood is very unsafe, lots of homeless people and the streets are empty, so I was sorry I didn't stay at the same hotel where the conference was. All the rooms in the hotel are on the second floor and […] no elevator. The room was clean and had a refrigerator, an oven, a coffee machine, so you can also save on dinning. Convenient, cost effect, and clean.

Nice room. Noisey A/C unit (like most hotels). Breakfast was minimal. Friendly staff. Excellent price for location. Easy walking distance to convention center

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was close to everything that I needed to be close to - mainly The House of Blues. The room was very comfortable, clean and accommodating. I have stayed at numerous hotels downtown and this one I will most definitely be coming back to often. Was very surprised by no parking available, despite being surrounded by parking lots. The parking company's office is across the street and they were very friendly & helpful about paying for parking for the week. Was nice to have a full kitchenette. The internet barely worked during the day, and didn't work at all at night. Hotel service was decent though, and they seemed to be serious about addressing issues. Overall, it's nice to see a small family owned place making it around all the big hotels surrounding it. If they work out the parking issue and get their internet working reliably, I think it'd be a very good place to stay. 더 보기

Advertised free Parking, free WiFi, gift basket in rooms, continental breakfast. Upon arrival they had a sign at front desk stating no free parking, no valet parking. Lady at desk ave me password for the WiFi and turns out they don't have free WiFi. We kissed important webinars. Hotel was not as advertised. Even the picture was wrong! The two gentlemen who checked me in were very friendly. The hotel has an old-school sense of customer service including carrying your bags up to your room for you. I was pleasantly surprised by the kitchen and dining room table which was in my room. I think it might be nice for an extended stay in Houston. The Athens hotel was absolutely one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. No dust collecting in corners of the floor or carpetting in the room.
