빠르고 도시로 가기에도 편리한 ‘멜버른 식’ 전차들 같이 삶을 경험하기 위한 숙박으로는 훌륭한 장소.

사생활과 매력적인 감각을 주는 조용한 방에서 호화로운 침대는 하이라이트였다. 로비의 페인팅과 우리 방, 그리고 호텔을 통틀어 좋아했다. 호텔 직원들은, 특히 Rob과 다이너마이트 칵테일을 만들고 독특한 유머감각을 가진 느낌이 드는 바에서 일하는 네팔에서 온 메이트가, 특별히 협조적이고 친절했다. 우리는 그 레스토랑에서 딱 한번 식사했지만, 그곳은 정말 맛있고 우리가 음식을 더 맛보기를 소망했던 곳이었다. 우리가 한가해 진다면 그곳에 다시 방문할 것이고 아마 Olsen 이나 the Cullen을 가볼 것이다. 우리는 Blackman을 우리 친구들과 가족들에게 매우 추천한다.

나는 내가 처음 도착했을 때 내가 읽었던 리뷰들이 의심스러웠다. 하지만 내가 방에 도착했을 때 모든 코멘트들이 말한 대로여서 더 이상 두렵지 않았다. 넓고, 꼼꼼하게 깨끗한데다, 주변지역도 좋고, 바로 아래층에 좋은 레스토랑 두 개가 있으면 그 지역 주변의 대중교통을 이용하기 편리했던 점은 말할 것도 없다. 나는 틀림없이 그곳에 다시 가서 숙박할 것이다.

We stayed 7 nights at this well appointed hotel close to the Botanical Gardens although slightly out of the city centre (15 mins walk) but with excellent access by numerous trams - every few minutes. We prefer good hotels in a more relaxed area. Room was good (studio deluxe) but outlook could be a little disappointing - attempt to ensure good view of […] park. Management were helpful and assisted in moving us to a room with a better outlook but as the Duty Manager did comment " they can't always guarantee the best view". This is our fourth visit to The Blackman, and the reason we keep returning goes beyond the extremely convenient location, the decadently comfortable rooms, the little touches like a huge selection of pillows and the laundries available on every second floor, and the great little pasta/pizza bar downstairs. It's the people. From the front desk staff […] to the maintenance and cleaning crew and the guys in the bar, we come away feeling as though we've reconnected with good friends. This hotel's concept is imaginative and innovative and the rooms are stylish and big, but I'm not crazy about "5 star" hotels which make me feel like a goose for not being tuned into features prioritising design over functionality. The air con did not work all night (and it was 35 deg celsius in Melbourne that day so that meant a sleepless night), […] light sensors (used rather than switches in the bathroom) did not work, the lift didn't work... while we raised a couple of these things politely - we would be informed of some complex design feature or reason for it being that way. The (two) staff in evidence over 16 hours were pleasant and responsive but untrained and woefully overworked...Only two staff in evidence on an overnight stay ... Same guy on the desk at 8.30pm, 10.30 pm, midnight, 10 am and midday.... I was also informed that Hotels.com hadn't passed on the booking, our comments (arriving late) and another request even after I advised that I had also made the request directly with the hotel. It reminded us of the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in San Francisco in both design and attitude - so if that works for you so will the Blackman... 더 보기

This hotel is one of the nicest places I have stayed the staff were very accommodating and the rooms were 1st class ! I would stay there again on my return.

Loved the bed and linen plus all the extra amenities. Good kitchen with full-sized ref and dishwasher! Loved being surrounded by beautiful artwork. An inspiration for my own home decorating. Will definitely come back.

Everyone in my family raved about the comfy beds! They're the best beds we've ever slept on!

This hotel lives up to the hype but being conveniently located and really lovely and comfortable. Next time though I will demand a higher room as the 6am street bin collection was awful.

Last minute plan to stay at this hotel upon visiting Melbourne from interstate for my brother's wedding. My brother had booked a room there for his wedding night. His room was awesome!! - but likely a more expensive booking. Our room was smaller (but still really comfortable) and really well appointed and spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were super […] comfy. The interior of the hotel and rooms is pretty quirky but in a good way. Considering I only made the booking while we drove to the hotel, they were super accommodating getting us into a room very early so that I was able to dress for the wedding in my own room, leaving the groomsmen to themselves. Very thankful. Can't comment about location - we only used it as a base to go to and from the wedding and reception. Overall, nice although brief stay. 더 보기

The Blackman was superb. Excellent service, beautiful room, good location with tram stop just around the corner. Particularly loved the french patisserie downstairs-give the petit fours a try you won't be disappointed!

The hotel was great: clean rooms, good views, ideal location, and very friendly and accommodating staff. Would definately stay again.

The Blackman was the best hotel we have stayed in during our recent 2 weeks holiday in Australia. It has far exceeded our expectations with its comfortable and spacious rooms and modern amenities, very helpful staff and it's conveniently located. Glad that we found this hotel through Hotels.com and got a good deal. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We spent 3 WONDERFUL nights at The Blackmann. We have stayed in many beautiful hotel all over the world, but this was an experience! The rooms were huge with 2 balconys and the artwork in the room was spectacular! Edgy and very different! The door to the bathroom was a floor to ceiling painting! The bed was heavern!!! The hotel staff was the most accomodating […] of any hotel that we have ever stayed in. did not want to leave! The hotel is out of the city center, but it was well worth the short tram/cab ride in. Stayed a week over Easter with a friend. We asked to change rooms after checking in, for the separated beds Twin room layout they have on Internet and they happily obliged. We had our own TVs! Very friendly staff, immaculately cleaned rooms with great kitchenette and T2 teas. A few cafes around the place but the tram is easy to catch to either the City […] or Chapel St. Enjoyed runs around the Botanic Gardens which are just up the road. 3 families stayed and all had a ball. We all booked the same accomodation and all got different rooms. Not a major problem but different facilities in each room should be made apparant, didn't like the glass doors on the bathroom that were unable to be locked. This hotel is in a great location for tram travel into the city, down Toorak Rd, the Victoria/ Prahan and St Kilda Markets. The deluxe twin room was too small for 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 kids (6 & 7). Apart from lying on the bed watching TV or sitting at the samll dining table there was no space to move or do anything else. The kids were given an art […] canvas to paint. Great idea but made a bit of a mess and the water colours did not come out of clothes nor the sink easily. Beautiful decor and very friendly staff, especially to the kids, but probably best for adults only. We were able to hear trams late at night and early in am which was a minor issue at times. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay at the hotel. The staff were so helpful and made us feel very welcome. The room was beautifully laid out and the bed was so comfortable. The French Patisserie and the Italian restaurant were fantastic value for money. Food and service both excellent. The location was very convenient for trams into the city and out […] to St Kilda. An elegant and beautifully kept Art Series hotel. My room was spacious, comfortable, opened to a balcony and was well equipped. The daytime cafe on the ground floor was good value. Easy to access by tram but I suggest that information is given in advance on the Tram numbers and which stop to alight closest to the hotel.

The staff at the Blackman could not have been more helpful during our three night stay, especially Ben, the concierge who was exemplary. The Hotel was beautifully presented, well maintained and the rooms were generously proportioned. I would not hesitate in recommending the Blackman, and will gladly stay there again on my next visit

My family and I stayed at the Blackman Hotel in Melbourne for six nights. At first glance it seemed a bit of a trek from the centre of Melbourne and there wasn't a lot to do in the immediate vacinity. However Melbourne is a very easy city to navigate and once we got used to the tram it opened up the city to us. The staff at the hotel were very helpful […] and the room was lovely although we got one of the back rooms overlooking the the plant and office blocks and the six am bin collections' weren't great. We weren't in the hotel enough for it to be a problem and I'm sure we could have changed rooms if we had requested it. The only compalint's I had were the rooms were quite dimly lit and there was little light in the bathroom to shave or put on make up. The other thing was the fact the hotel charged $3.00 an hour to get online, in this day I think is really not acceptable and rather a rip-off. However overall I would absolutely recommend this hotel and we as a family were sad to leave. 더 보기

The Blackman Hotel is very clean & modern with beautiful decor. Our room had a balcony with great views of Melbourne. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

I booked this hotel several months ahead of the Australian Grand Prix and I'm glad I did. Even though I opted for the cheapest room they had, I was treated to a 17th floor (one from the top!) view to the northeast and a semi-private balcony. Just a few minutes from two different Albert Park gates, it sure was nice to be near the track while everyone […] else is stuffing themselves into trams or taxis. The hotel even loaned me an umbrella on the days it rained. The room came extremely well-fitted and included an iron, ironing board, full set of dishes and cooking utensils, even a dishwasher! The fridge and nearby counter had a selection of beers, wines, and snacks for the expected hotel prices. The bathroom could do with more counter space, but the fixtures are excellent and very artsy, which is fitting for the room. The shower was excellent, though the glass door is not designed to seal at the bottom, so put the provided towel down to prevent soaking the area by the sink. Downstairs just off the lobby features a pair of restaurants. Fleur is a breakfast and light lunch place. The food was good, but the service was sometimes lacking. Classico is an italian-themed formal restaurant and the food and service there was excellent. The best part about this hotel? It's good enough for F1 personalities, so it's good enough for me. F1 driver Vitantonio Liuzzi and Geoff Willis, Technical Director for HRT were staying there as well, and so was Niki Lauda. I stayed in a delux room. Beautifully appointed large room with a large balcony. Very nice kitchen in the room with a full fridge & dishwasher. Very comfortable king size bed. Tram to the city at the door. I intend to stay at this hotel again and have already recommended it to friends. Nice Cafe/Patisserie on ground fllor

This is an excellent boutique hotel, with wonderful staff that made us feel extremely welcome. The rooms are decorated beautifully and the balcony was a bonus. Its new and wonderfully clean. Easy access to everything via trams. Definitely will stay there again when visiting Melbourne.

Our stay at the Blackman was almost flawless. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was small but groovy - great art, gorgeous bed, cool bathroom, nice balcony. In fact the venue could not be faulted, except for the cafe being closed for repairs. The quality of the hotel makes this a great place to stay for a chilled week-end. On the other […] hand, there is not much life within walking distance, except if you are a big walker. Luckily we are, so up to Toorak Rd for a meal was a good way to stretch out, cutting through Fawkner Park. Otherwise you are looking at a drive or tram - both pretty convenient. Parking nearby is easy on week-ends, but come Monday this is a business district, so out come the meters and parking enforcers. Hotel parking is available, but did not look like a good deal. Our only gripe was that there was a fee for using the internet in your room - common in Australian hotels, but not so anywhere else in the world. Brand new hotel with amazing style. Our room was clean and extremely well-maintained, and there was so many drawings to look at! The only drawback to staying here was that it was far from city centre and our balcony view was of the large rusty metal roof of the neighboring building (one side of the hotel is completely bordered by this view) which was […] an eyesore and noisy. We were really pleased with our stay at the Blackman hotel. The room was better than we'd expected, really well appointed, clean and the bathroom was compact but well thought out. Fluffy gowns are always very welcome! Had an excellent kitchenette which we weren't expecting and was great. The bar/restaurant and gorgeous patisserie downstairs were also […] great to have. We were on floor 13 and unexpectedly had really nice views of the GP racetrack and the sea. Like St Kilda as an area and although the hotel feels like it's right in the CBD you can walk to plenty of bars and restaurants and the tram is super easy to catch. Only real letdown was the hotel booked us a transfer with the wrong company so we had to catch a cab to the airport when we'd already paid for a transfer! 더 보기

The Hotel is not on St. Kilda Street but is situated on the Arthur Street. There is no driveway so luggage have to be carried up the stairs or use the oddly situated ramp. This minor to the pluses. Tram station is just a minute away, two great food outlets. Very helpful front desk staff.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and both times were a pleasure. The hotel is brand new and very well appointed. The design is funky and welcoming with two separate restaurants (one is a cafe actually) on the ground floor with reasonable prices. The staff were great and helpful. The location is perfect with a handful of surrounding cafe's/restaurants […] and set in a beautiful part of Melbourne (when its not raining) a short distance from the CBD, St Kilda & Chapel Street. The room itself was great - we stayed in the smallest room and it was pleasantly big - with space for a table, chairs, couch, desk & essentially a fully equipped kitchen (micro, hot plates, sink, plates etc). We had a balcony. Views were pleasant (again when its not raining). The bathroom was fine with the toilet within this area (not separate). We felt very welcome and woke up happy. 더 보기

This is a fabulous new hotel with a wonderful, attentive staff and beautiful rooms. Have you ever been to a hotel with many, thick coffee table artbooks in the room? Or attention to design at every turn? My only complaint is that the bathroom is quite small. I would have sacrificed a bit of the room space for a larger bathroom.
