메인도로에서 약간 벗어나 있는 곳에 위치하긴 했지만 전철역 앞에 바로 위치하고 있어 찾아가기도 편하고 가격도 저렴하여 주머니가 넉넉치 않은 여행객들에겐 딱인듯 합니다 단, 조그만 호텔이다 보니 스텝들의 언어가 딱 일어에 한정되어 있다는 점이 좀 불편하긴 하나 가격 생각하면 그정도는 충분히 감수할 만합니다.

저는 최근에 도쿄에 일주일 동안 갔었는데 사진작가로서 도시를 자유롭게 탐험할 수 있기를 원하면서 적당한 호텔을 찾고 있었습니다. 동시에 저는 일본사람들이 살아가는 참다운 방식을 발견하기 원했습니다. 그리고 ‘캡슐’ 호텔을 경험했습니다. 도착하자 사물함 열쇠와 기모노 몇 점, 팬티, 슬리퍼, 수건들을 받았고 캡슐 시스템이 어떻게 돌아가는 지 설명을 들었습니다. 라커룸에서 옷을 갈아입고 샤워 실과 사우나, 자쿠지를 포함하는 잘 갖추어진 욕실을 사용할 수 있었습니다. 여기 저기 사진을 찍으면서 도쿄를 한참 동안 걸어 다닌 긴 하루를 마치고 나니 41도로 맞춰진 거품 자쿠지에서 긴장을 푸는 것이 매우 즐거웠습니다. 샤워를 하고 […] 포근한 캡슐안으로 자러 들어갔습니다. 각각의 캡슐에는 작은 TV가 있고 인터넷 케이블(케이블에 연결을 하는 노트북은 없지만 “패드”를 사용하는 저와 같은 사람들을 위해서는 케이블에 연결할 수 있는 포터블 루터를 가져오세요. 그러면 이곳에서 불가능한 무선 인터넷이 가능합니다.) 유일하게 무선 인터넷이 가능한 경우는 일본 전화 공급자 계약을 가지고 있을 경우인데, 여행객으로선 당연히 없는 것이지요. 전체적으로 이곳은 꽤 즐거운 경험이었습니다. T라인에 있는 지하철 키바역은 100미터 떨어진 곳에 있습니다. 거기에서G 긴자라인과 연결이 됩니다. 처음 온 사람이라면 JR 라인의 1일권을 사면됩니다.(24시간 동안 730엔) JR 야마노테 순환선의 장점은 지하철이 아니라 지상철이라는 점입니다. 그래서 정차역을 볼 수 있습니다. 호텔의 위치 환경을 보면 지하철역에서 나오면 패밀리 마트가 있습니다. 저희들은 캡슐 호텔에 많은 기대를 하지 않았습니다. 그러나 도쿄에 있는 느낌이라면 한 번 시도해 봐야 했습니다! 저희들은 후회 역시 하지 않았습니다. 저희들의 캡슐은 2사람이 편안하게 자기에 충분했습니다. 캡슐을 닫는 커튼은 하나만 있었고 문은 없었어요. 그래서 밤에는 시끄러웠습니다. 귀마개는 필수입니다. 욕실은 멋지고 깨끗하고 비누에서부터 세안제와 로션까지 모든 것이 다 있어요. 남자용 욕실과 여자용 욕실이 있습니다. 그렇지만 개인용 샤워 실은 없다는 것을 알아두세요. 모든 사람들이 샤워를 함께 합니다. 그 사실을 제외하면 저희들은 즐거웠고 이곳에 다시 올 것 같습니다.

This was perfect for a couple of nights to experience staying in a capsule with my fiance. The wash facilities were good enough but lacking the option of a separate shower, communal or nothing. Also the men's had sauna and other addictions that the women's lacked. Worst of all was having our baggage near the front desk, there just isn't enough space […] for a rucksack in the lockers. I think this capsule hotel says they have AC but that is a pretty farfetched statement. They had one little AC unit in the hallway of each floor with around 20-30 capsules on each floor. When you close your screen too the AC doesn't even get into your capsule. We loved staying at Kiba Hotel, the staff were terrific and extremely polite could understand English and were very helpful. I would highly recommend staying there to my family and friends in the future and we are definatley going to go back and stay in the capsule hotel in the near future.

Anyone looking at this hotel is clearly not considering a luxury stay, and that is probably a good thing. This hotel has the most basic facilities, a locker to put your stuff in, communal showers and a capsule to stay the night. Very useful for a budget stay in Tokyo where luxury is not the aim. We stayed in a semidouble capsule. Location of the hotel was good, right next to the Kiba metro station, easy to find. Staff were friendly, we were given an indepth tour of the hotel. Wifi only in lounge area. The only negative aspect was the locker was not big enough for our luggage, it is only for your valuables. It is perfect for the price! It is 1 min walk next to Kiba station which is well located. When we got there, the staff were very friendly and greeted us well. Also, it was our first time experiencing the capsule and it was good. We had a locker to put our personal stuff. And the capsule (semidouble) were bigger than expected. This hotel was great! We stayed in a 2 person capsule which I've never seen before. It was comfortable and the staff were friendly and spoke English well enough. My only complaint is I wish the shower room were bigger, space for only 2 to shower at a time and then in the room with the vanities, when there was a crowd in the morning we were tripping […] over each other. Oh and the rude other guest who started talking just outside our capsule at about 6am, but that's not the hotel's fault that's just inconsiderate European travelers. We stayed at the hotel in a double capsule, due to cost (Tokyo hotels were very expensive!). We found the capsule to be comfortable and the facilities were good. Very near Kiba station, with good transport links. I knew when we booked a capsule hotel that it was going to be a unique experience, and it was. The capsule itself was extremely comfortable. We'd ordered a double capsule, and it was sufficiently spacious for a couple. Unfortunately it wasn't particularly easy to sleep because we could still hear the noises made by other residents in other capsules […] (either arriving, or leaving, etc), but that's not the hotel's fault. It was actually more than we expected, and cleaner and neater and more pleasant than we were afraid we were get. The staff at the front desk were lovely (even when we accidentally smashed a bottle in their lobby), the bathrooms were clean, everything was good. I had and still have an aversion to the Japanese version of shared bathroom facilities, where there is no privacy from fellow bathers, but that's my own issue. My boyfriend and I stayed for 6 nights at this hotel, and it was pretty much perfect for us! The hotel is right beside the metro making it easy to get to all of the cities districts for shopping, sightseeing, eating and drinking... Tokyo Kiba Hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a capsule hotel with the added benefit of allowing women. One thing to be aware of is that the bathroom facilities for women are much much smaller than for men and so some queuing may be required.

This was my first time in Tokyo and since I wanted to immerse myself in the city as much as I could, I chose the Tokyo Kiba Hotel (I will also mention I had little to no cash and wanted to live as cheaply as possible in one of the world's most, if not the most, expensive city). I was warmly greeted when I arrived from the airport. It was a little later […] than most check-ins, but since the hotel is open 24 hours a day it was no problem. I was taken through the hotel and informed about how things worked. The woman that runs it is a great host and made the experience much easier and was always very kind and welcoming. I'll also mention that for a female I think it's a bit uncommon to be able to stay at a capsule hotel since it's usually for businessmen. There were other women staying as well so I didn't mind so much and I never felt awkward or out of place. I would definitely recommend it for any woman if she's seeking a bit of adventure and something a little out of the norm. The hotel is situated on the other side of town from Shinjuku/Shibuya areas, but it is only a lovely walk to Tsukiji and Ginza. This would be my only complaint. The receptionist was very very nice, spoke excellent English, and gave us a tour of the hotel from top to bottom. The capsule's were clean, though the mattress was slightly uncomfortable. The double capsules were suprinsingly comfortable and spacious. Otherwise, staying here was quite impractical as the bathroom, lockers and capsule were all at different floors. But we thought it was fun to stay here one night to test the "capsule experience". The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hvis man er i Japan skal man næsten prøve at sove på et capsule hotel. Det er hyggeligt, og på kiba hotel har de fantastiske badefaciliteter, dog ikke til piger. Men dog skal man ikke bo der i for mange dage, da det nemt bliver klaustrofobisk at ligge i så ligge et rum.

Highly anticipated visit to my first stay at a capsule hotel. Stayed with my wife in one of the deluxe cabins, which was located on the 5th floor. The cabin itself was large enough to allow both of us to get a good night's sleep, the only flaw would be that the A/C on our floor wasn't functioning properly making it a bit too warm. Nice SPA/relaxtion […] area with showers, jacuzzi etc on the 3rd floor. I have to mention the location as well, as the hotel is located at a pleasant one minute walk from nearest subway station. Welcome in hotel was nice and informative. Capsules were good for couples. Bathroom for men was big, with big shared bath. Bathroom for women was smaller. Breakfast for 500 yen was OKish.
