Difficult to find... no road names or signs didn't help. However, after a call to the apartments, the manager came out in his car to find us! Pleasantly... surprised by how big the apartment was. Included a utility room with a washing machine and 2nd toilet. Plenty of built in storage in bedrooms. Bathroom had two showers! Towels changed twice a week..but these are only small so you will need to bring beach towels. Kitchen very spacious and had dishwasher and microwave but no kettle.. Pool was a nice size and plenty of sun loungers available. Located in a quiet area, amongst some lovely villas, about half an hour walk to the village.. would be longer on the way back as is uphill! Carvoiero is a lovely place for families and has the best beaches around in our opinion.Plenty of restaurants to choose from and pretty reasonable prices. We hired a car at Faro which was useful... but be careful as we were given a car full of petrol and told to return it empty .. we were charged 85 euros for petrol to refill it. We were in the Algarve for 9 days and still only used 3/4 of a tank of fuel and yet had to pay the fuel charge.. rip off! We went with two children (8 and 9) and they loved Slide and Splash water park and Zoo marine. I enjoyed the Fiesta Sand Sculptures - amazing.
