"This was the best property we have stayed at in Iceland so far. Everyone was helpful and personable. Beautiful rooms with views of the glacier. Hot tubs were a great place after a day of driving or sightseeing. Erik our waiter was fantastic and made this feel like a home base more than a hotel. Their bar is quite good as well. Pick “kiss of death” off their cocktail menu and you won’t regret it."
"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vik. The breakfast was great with plenty of tasty options to choose from each morning. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay, always happy to assist with anything we needed.
The hotel was spotless both inside and out, creating a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The bedding was exceptionally clean and fresh, making for a great night’s sleep. One of the first things we noticed was the lovely, welcoming scent upon entering the hotel, which gave a calm and soothing feeling right away.
Overall, a fantastic experience and we would happily stay here again."
"Wonderful stay in a stunning location. The hotel is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with comfortable rooms and amazing views of Icelandic nature. Unfortunately our room was facing to the parking lot and at ground level so we couldn’t enjoy the views this time (it was our second time staying there). The staff were very kind, friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. We had our anniversary dinner at the restaurant and our host offered us the best table and bubbly wine. Servers were very knowledgeable and kind. Food was delicious. The location is perfect for visiting Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. After a long day of exploring, the peaceful atmosphere and relaxing hot tubs made the experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone traveling along the South Coast of Iceland."
"Really nice property with several different houses in a central location. Staff was super helpful.
Our house, Embassy House was located 2 blocks from the harbor and 1 block from a good shopping/dining street.
The studio apartment had a comfortable bed, couch, little kitchenette and a very clean bathroom.
Would absolutely come here again!"
"The location is excellent!
It’s close walking distance to many tourist sites and museums in the city and close to the Maritime Museum bus stop.
We loved the breakfast provided by the hotel and the Hygge coffee shop and bakery there.
The spa was closed during our stay which wasn't great and we weren’t refunded the extra money we had paid for spa access. They did include one day of free hotel breakfast and a free coffee for the two of us though which was very kind.
The staff were all very lovely and helpful. There was even a cat hanging around the front lobby area for most of our stay"
