The room was really spacious and had an awesome lake view. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They give you a free bus pass to use during your stay. You get on right out front and it takes you to the city center or train station in about 15 minutes. Very easy and convenient. After a day of sightseeing it was nice to come back to our room, make some hot tea, and slip into a cozy robe and slippers. I also thought the price of the room was very reasonable considering how expensive...

We were very pleased with our 2 night stay in Lucerne at the Cascada. The hotel is a convenient distance from the train station, an easy walk with luggage but far enough away that you can't hear trains. Reception was excellent and was able to get us into our room a couple hours before check-in time. They also were able to put us in a room towards the quiet back side of the building (little to no street noise.) Switzerland uses outlet plugs which are different from anywhere we've been in Europe....

We asked for a lake view room upon reservation and when we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite with not only a lake view, but a balcony. The accommodations were not only spacious and comfortable, but the room was beautifully appointed with an antique desk and dresser, lovely chandeliers, roomy closets and a double sink bathroom. Details and little touches make this hotel special. We received a bowl of fruit, a handwritten note of welcome, and binoculars to enjoy the spectacular views offered...

Have stayed in many hotels in Luzern over the years but I now try to go back to the Wildenmann when I have the chance to visit Switzerland. It is consistently at the high standard that you would expect in Switzerland.

We loved this unique boutique hotel! Comfortable, clean, nice people, good convenient area, easily walkable from the train station. Very delicious treat left on our bed upon arrival. I judge a hotel by the shower…is the water very hot, does it trickle or stream, things like that. This hotel had a great shower! There was no air conditioner, but we were fine in early June. Very good breakfast as well.

The hotel manager and front desk team were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is beautifully located right in front of a stunning lake and majestic mountains.
I accidentally left my computer in an Uber, and the hotel manager and team went above and beyond to help me recover it. I truly appreciated their patience, support, and warm hospitality.

It is worth every penny. Additionally, your stay gets your a visitors pass with discounted rates on transport throughout the city. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind as well. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!

This is a wonderful historical property that has been recently renovated and is currently in great shape. The room and common areas are tastefully decorated with color and charm, and the fixtures are up to date and modern. It sits on a hillside above the town, but there is a dedicated elevator (furnicular) that leads directly from the street to the property. The views and privacy of the location are amazing, and there is a cozy lobby bar with couches and a 5-star view overlooking the town. ...

The hotel is next to an old church and within the old town. The building is almost 500 years old and the style of hotel decorations and facilities, such as lamps and furniture, are in tune with the ambience. The room has a cute coffee maker.

Spent five nights here in March 2022 and made it our base for exploring Switzerland. Could not be happier with it. It's a bit of a hike from old town Luzern, but that is not inordinate and the distance gives some space that wound up being welcome. Otherwise the facilities and staff were great -- excellent food and everything else. Highly recommended and would do it again in a heartbeat.

A stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal for exploring the city's key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions. During your visit, you can enjoy activities such as lake tours, mountain sightseeing, boating, and exploring museums, historical locations, and live music venues, all while keeping your expenses in check.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: When planning a trip to Lucerne, you may discover attractive offers by exploring the Dealsopens in new window section on Hotels.com. For spontaneous getaways, check out the Last-Minute Deals area, where you could find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature on the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you stay informed about potential savings through email alerts and push notifications.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Lucerne hotel. For travelers seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels might offer a more personalized stay and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average. If the price is higher, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city center generally tend to be more expensive, but with Lucerne's outstanding public transportation options, you may find a more affordable independent hotel a bit farther out that still offers great connectivity. If you're interested in exploring less crowded neighborhoods or even some lesser-known nearby towns, you’re likely to discover excellent value for your money. Opting for these alternative destinations can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
