Hotel has no air conditioning anywhere. Staff was able to move me to room on the back of the hotel where I could open the window without traffic noise. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel is very clean

Good hotel in an excellent location. In summer though need air conditioning.

10/10 Exceptional

Comfortable bed with large rooms. Very clean. Excellent restaurant and good breakfast. Very close to train station with 3 minute walk. One complaint was lack of A/C but it’s a historic hotel and by law they can’t install it. Only other thing was really small corner shower stall and they had room to put a bigger one. Why they didn’t, not sure. We would stay there again.

6/10 Good

Nice friendly staff and bed was comfy enough. The major issue was no aircon. The hotel did provide fans but they weren't particularly powerful or cold. Just be warned if visiting in the height of summer.
Verified review

6/10 Good

The hotel’s best feature was its location across the street from the train station. We were not impressed with the fact that their was no air conditioning in the hotel because of it’s age. We also never saw a mention of that fact in any of the on- line information. We had two fans to produce some air movement, but we were warm with the windows closed. Not a problem for folks who live without A/C, but we expect it where ever we stay.

Beautiful historic building in excellent location convenient to the train station. Easy walk to the many popular sites and historic area for shopping and dining. Gorgeous room with all modern amenities. Highly recommend!

8/10 Very good

Perfect location. Good size rooms. Pillow too big and uncomfortable. Suggest to provide an additional smaller size pillow. The wash basin is small and water splash onto the vanity which slightly slope outwards resulting in water dripping down to the floor. Clothes all wet when leaning against the vanity.

8/10 Very good

Beautiful vintage style hotel completely updated. Bonus free upgrade to a suite. Disappointed that there was no A/C. Room had 2 fans along with walk out balcony, and a large double swing operable window. Room cooled nicely after midnight. Great location, across the street from the train station ( electric trains … no sound) Central to the core attractions. Great place walkable location.

Nice hotel. Rooms are a bit dated. Shower within a bath not my favourite. No air con as there is a city restriction. Nice stay though. Breakfast ok

10/10 Exceptional

We only stayed one night but it was a wonderful experience. Recently refurbished to a very high standard . Food was excellent, but rather unusually they charged for tap water. Very comfortable beds. Didn’t stop for breakfast, but the aroma of bacon cooking at 6.00 am was very tempting!

The location across the train station was very convenient. The room was not at all cozy or similar to what I had booked. Also there was no air conditioning with very temps.

10/10 Exceptional

Really liked everything about The Waldstaetterhof. It’s not typical for a really nice hotel to be located next to a transportation hub like a train station. This was a nice change of pace. Great amenities and lots of restaurants, stores and attractions close by. Would stay here again.
