Staff fantastic, hotel quite dated, but excellent breakfast. No mention of the rooftop bar being closed for renovation! We were looking forward to that.
Our room was not clean - dust on a lot of surfaces and the fridge-freezer desperately needed de-icing.
We had to keep asking for things like soap, towels, and toilet paper as there wasn't enough. The soaps were tiny so we ended up buying our own.
There is a school right across from the hotel so we were woken up by the outdoor assembly (with microphone) at 7.30am and once or twice a bagpipe rehearsal at 7.45am. Not even kidding.
The breakfast was excellent. A huge buffet with all kinds of food; hot dishes, cold dishes, veggie dishes, eggs cooked at the egg station for you, fruit, cereal, desserts, you name it. Plenty of seating, too.
The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and we really felt taken care of in that respect.
