NEW OWNERS (ONLY IN PLACE ONE WEEK BEFORE ARRIVAL)
Although my paperwork from Expedia said check in starts at 4:00 pm, when we arrived we could not get in! (I see on return that this time is now stated as 5:00 pm). Tried telephoning - but both the number of the Chambres D'Hotes external board and the Expedia paperwork would not work - a completely different number is listed on my invoice. My sister and I had asked for twin beds, and this was confirmed by yourselves when you wrote to me stating that you had modified our booking. When shown to our room there was one double bed! However the new owner did change the room to twin beds the next day.
The biggest surprise of all though was the fact that they do not take credit cards (!!!) despite several sites stating that they do! So I had to go around to the ATM on the last morning and was glad that we had only been staying for 3 nights!!
We stayed from 7 - 9 June 2017 and the new owners had only been in place for one week. They are a very nice young couple and I wish them well, but it is obvious the reviews relate to the previous owners (who were also Michelin listed).
