It should not be called "hotel". It is an Airbnb. It is very nice inside but without a 24 hour concierge or bell boy, amenities, or breakfast, it is not a hotel. Also, booking it through Hotel.com instead of Airbnb I did not get the instructions to enter the building etc and had to wait 30 minutes for someone to show up which is very Airbnb-style, not hotel-style. Other than that, the room was excellent, the service friendly and hospitable, the location excellent. Just plan for Airbnb-style check in. The room was new, spotless, spacious, stylish, with comfortable touches, and a view of the Acropolis. The listing said soundproof. It is was not 100% soundproof but definitely fairly quiet considering it is in the heart of the city. The bed and pillows were a bit squishy for my tastes. The blackout drapes were good. Overall decent sleep, clean, comfortable, great shower. At 87 Euros/night, I felt it was priced somewhere between a hotel and an Airbnb, which is what it overall felt like.

Truly located right in the heart of Athens walking distance to just about everything but the Piraeus which we took the metro to. A metro station within a few mins walk (mstiraki sp?) John was incredibly cordial and willing to help with any questions about stay or area. The apt is located above a very nice jewelry store along a busy street-like bazaar for tourists. You check in at jewelry store Athena 24k and enter your room from a side door to left of jewelry store. We had a view of a dilapidated building across from us but what catches your eye is the beautiful acropolis which you see above this building right from your window. It is particularly beautiful at night all lit up. We had a few glasses of wine each night looking at our acropolis view from our balcony. 2 grocery stores 1 block away. Highly recommend staying here. Only complaint is the shower has no “curtain” so everything gets wet...everything! Thank you for a beautiful stay we will be back :-)
