Amazing new hotel, everything was clean and modern, the elevator was confusing at first because no buttons on the inside, but I guess you have to be smarter than the thing you're working with haha. Loved that the bed had a button to open the curtains! Very nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is still under construction. I suggested requesting rooms far away from the construction. We were awoken at 6:30am one morning to drilling and a late afternoon of the same. Also, stay far away from the pool area as the music plays loudly in this area until 11pm and could be heard in my room from two floors away. The cleaning was done at random times each day but yet there were dishes sitting in the same place in the hallway for multiple days.

Great central location, walking distance to Little Italy, rooms were nice and clean. wonderful and accommodating staff.

We stayed at this chic and sexy hotel for a weekend getaway to San Diego and it did NOT disappoint! When checking in I knew the hotel was fairly new, but I didn’t know how new! The concierge let us know the Carte had only been open for a mere 11 days open upon our arrival. From the superb service, to the cleanliness, to the chic & modern decor, to the amazing pool desk with cabanas and poolside service, the Carte was literally the perfect hotel for our getaway. I can’t wait to stay again!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place! The hotel has a nice ambience and super friendly staff. The location is great it’s walking distance from the bay, little Italy and just a few miles from Gaslump and Hillcrest. On a beautiful day out you can ride a scooter to your destination because there are scooters all over the city. The hotel just opened on my birthday (September 10) therefore upon check in I was offered a complimentary bottle of wine for my birthday that was send to my room. I loved everything about my room. I had the bay view and I was also able to see the pool from my window. The hotel also have a rooftop bar but unfortunately it wasn’t open yet but there is a bar and restaurant downstairs. The only problem upon arrival was that I had no idea you had to pay for parking $52 per night and I was told by valet that there was no near by parking but when we took a walk the very next day we seen at least two parking lots and one of the parking lots was only $10 so if you don’t want to pay $52 per night you can find a parking lot near by. They also take the payment for parking upon check out it comes out of your deposit. Besides $52 per night for parking this hotel and there hospitality was a 10 and I will stay here in the future.
