Check-in took over an hour, the hotel staff said to check the hotel next door for available rooms โstaff didnโt know when it would be readyโ. A/C in room was stuck on 68 and blowing warm air into the room, resulting in a very unpleasant sleep. Overall just a step up from a motel.

My friend and I checked in on the evening of 7/18/2025. The gentleman at the desk did not acknowledge us and just kept looking down at his phone. I could barely make out what he even asked me to do. He wasn't rude, but he also wasn't very congenial. I had to ask twice to get an extra key for the room. We did not feel very welcomed.

It did the job. I was given a room on the second floor above an area with lots of activity, and next to the gym. The walls and floors are super thin and I was barely able to sleep both nights. They siphon everything (wifi, food, coffee) off the hotel across the street which is probably a better place to stay.

My main complaint is that it seemed someone smoked in their room and when I checked in, the entire floor reeked of smoke. The smell permeated to my room and it was just really bad. The following morning the smell was still heavily present and I decided to cut my 2 night stay short. To the staff credit, by the afternoon the smell of smoke was less overwhelming but at that time I had found a way better option in downtown.
I recognize it is not the staff fault. I also get that did isnโt a luxury hotel, though it was fairly overpriced for what it offered. It just made the little time I spent there rather uncomfortable.

Extra room charges
It was a short stay. We checked in about 10pm and checked out at 10:30. Upon returning home we noticed we were charged another $67 (which was deducted at 2:30 am, well after we were sleeping).This charge was on top of the room price and the $50 security deposit. I was never informed of any extra charges beyond the room and security deposit. Also, upon check-in the lady at the desk said that there were no available rooms at the time I reserved the room. The lady was nice, but it took her a while to find my reservation, which created a bit of anxiety.

I want to give a special thanks and dedication to this property. I travel everywhere with my service dog luna, She's mostly a hospice dog. Anyway I stay at this hotel often when attending events in the area. I happened to forget her service bag this one time. Upon checking in. I told the young gentleman at the front desk what happened. He remembered me and Luna from 2 times prior and my 2 kids from new years. ( Remembered them because of Luna) This is one of them small things that stands out. I will always use and recommend your property and I appreciate another great stay. Only thing down.. Could do a little bit better on the breakfast. Potatoes and eggs. You get that biscuits and gravy.
