Great location in centro for museums, churches and transportation.

Great location, great service!

Windsor Hotel had a perfect city centre location - however after we arrived we realised that Rio Centro is under near-lockdown on holidays and weekends due to the unsafe conditions and crime. But the hotel had adequate precautions to keep us safe once inside. We must also mention the total lack of English everywhere. One front desk officer (His name started with a V) was most helpful - offered us an early checkin after a 12 hour flight (most useful!) And also was patient enough to call the airline and wait over 45 minutes (after speaking to 3 call centre reps) to get our meal requests updated by AZUL airlines - which had no English website or English call centre persons we could connect with. he truly went beyond his call of duty and ensured our flight out had vegetarian food for us! There was no way we could have done this ourselves. Room is nice and large, but ac is very cold and doesn't adjust well based on the temp settings. Pool on the roof is also just a small water body and of hardly any use.

It is a nice hotel, well located for those mainly on business trip, since it is at the heart of Rio downtown. Additionally, good proximity to several tourist points, and short trip to domestic airport, as well as close to highways leading to out of town and international airport.

The front desk staff were amazing, very professional and very patient for help.
