Spots on mattress, dead bugs on side of night stand. Carpet has stains everywhere & dirty. Room smells, base boarda damaged, spider webs hanging over head of bed. Was waiting to see if i had bug bites when i woke. But thank God, the bed was bedbug free! Because we drove all day, into the night, we was to tired to complain or move to another hotel. These hotels need to stop charging these high fees & they know the rooms are not up to satisfaction! Disgusted!

Not as expected
Not as expected, looks much better in pictures. First room we were given smelled awful, after further inspection of the closet we found black mold going up the wall. Asked for a different room. Still a small amount of mold noticed inside the closet. Even with the AC running room felt very muggy, so much as our sheets felt damp when lying in bed. For ten dollars more I would have just went over to the tru Hilton hotel nearby.

The hotel is located adjacent to the interstate with several newer hotels in close proximity. A variety of food choices are located within walking distance or a short drive. The hotel is an older building. Check in was fine. The door to the assigned room required a forceful push to open. Once inside the bathroom and bed were clean. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning daily. The carpet was frayed and worn. There was not a coffee maker in the room. However, there was a fridge and microwave available. The hotel did offer continental breakfast with a variety of options. The overall stay was okay until the last night. We woke up on the morning of checkout with rodent droppings on the table where the phone and ice container were. When I showed them to my wife she said she heard some noise during the night from that area. But did not wake me since we were trying to get an early start the next morning. A few nights earlier I was at the foot of the bed watching TV and thought I saw a mouse running in the direction of the fridge, but thought I was dreaming. The hotel had a copy of the city of Wilson guide in the room. It included a handwritten solicitation from probably a local entrepreneur. Needless to say this will be my last stay at this location.

It was ok until we found ants all over our wall and under a pillow. The man at the front desk was exceptional though and gave us a new room immediately, but I wouldnโt stay again. It doesnโt look like they keep up with the housekeeping either, as both rooms had stuff all over the floor

Not our best pick of hotel.
Asked for a room that was not used as pet friendly because of animal allergies. The room given us definitely had been used for pets. I know when Iโm allergic to something. Felt this was Not one of our best picks from hotels.com.

Don't make our mistake. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else. We walked down a cigarette smoke filled hallway to our non-smoking room and slept in a room that smelled like weed. People were banging on doors in the middle of the night, lots of alarms going off. When we handed in our keys they didn't even ask about our stay. No elevator in this hotel. I will never stay at Microtel again.

The stay was great. The problem was the double charges that appeared on our and our daughters credit card. We paid advanced in full on May 9th. Our stay was May 16-17. We had 2 rooms and we had to add our card for incidentals, our daughter added her card for her room. A week later we checked our credit card and we were charged in full for our room. We called the hotel and Michael said that "expedia's credit card was declined and so we were charged". We were told to take it up with Hotels.com as it was not their problem. We asked about the other room and were told that the room went through fine, nothing declined. We then called our daughter and found out that was not true and her card was charged in full as well. Right as we were looking to contact Hotels.com, Microtel called us and said there was a mistake and they would take care of it. We then mentioned our daughters card was wrongly charged and he said he would take care of that as well.
This is unacceptable and thank goodness we check our purchases. How many times has this happened to others. I will think twice before booking with Hotels.com again. I don't know how the process works between Hotels.com and the hotels, but this does not sound like it was Hotels.com fault. However, if this is acceptable behavior by its hotels then that is a problem and will affect our future usage of Hotels.com. (and our daughters, and family, and friends).
Our charges have yet to be reversed. I will file dispute with CC soon

Quick pit stop
A quick stop on our way to FL. The person who attended us gave us a room far away from an inconsiderate customer who was smoking marijuana. We really appreciated that. The room was clean and beds were fairly comfortable. Breakfast was decent.

You get what you pay for!
Pros: The best thing was the housekeeping. They made a shabby and dirty room presentable and clean, kudos to them. Please tip them if you stay.
Cons: The carpet was the filthiest I have ever seen in my life. I felt like walking barefoot on it would make my feet dirty. The free breakfast was decent.
Overall, it's okay if you just need a cheap room for the night. If you care about cleanliness, pay a little more elsewhere (this complex has several hotels).
