We completely enjoyed our stay here. Small clean quiet hotel with super convenient location to a metro stop w multiple lines. Front desk was extremely helpful making restaurant suggestions. Would stay here again on another trip to Paris!

Paris visit - August 2025

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff greeted us warmly and made check-in quick and easy. Our room was spotless, and surprisingly the room with twin beds were very spacious (we had rented two rooms), had comfortable beds and high-quality linens. AC and shower were the best. We stayed 4 nights. The location was perfect — close enough to walk to major attractions, yet peaceful and quiet at night. We especially appreciated the little touches, like complimentary coffee/expresso machine, fresh towels daily. We did not get breakfast since the bakeries was right across the hotel. Every interaction with staff was friendly and professional. I would stay there again.

The attention of the staff is fenomenal they are really helpful In any way possible, the location great really near a subway entrance that can take you to a parcticly all the important turist sites, the Morring brakefast is enough to start the day. Rooms nice and clean. We had a greate time.

Stayed for 3 nights for work. The front desk staff were really friendly throughout the trip. The bed was very comfy and rooms very clean if a little on the smaller side but did not mind that. Only thing is if you are very sensitive to noise it can get a little loud on the street on weekends but can be blocked out really easily with ear plugs.

A quaint , clean but pleasant hotel . Yes the rooms are compact but the bed was excellent as was the small shower . Very helpful and friendly staff , nice breakfast . It is a well refurbished Parisian building with a small lift which is adequate. The area is bustling and it’s just 1 minute to the Metro for easy train access downtown . I would go back for sure .

Perfect experience for my first visit to Paris. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even offering me an umbrella and offering to make me something to eat after my 2am arrival. The hotel felt very authentic as a french hotel, not an overly polished chain. The locker room to leave my bags after checkout and before my flight gave me more time to see the sights. Also it's just around the corner from the metro station. Just be aware the metro stops running at 10pm.

Stayed 6 nights in Nov 2022 - myself and two adult daughters. The location was excellent - walking distance to Metro station. We walked to Marais district/shopping and Louve area. Small room but to be expected in Paris - good sized bathroom. Great bakery across the road. Area overall felt safe. Was a little noisy due to traffic on Blvd St Denis but figure most of Paris would be like that. Was clean with comfortable beds.

What a wonderful experience. Before arriving, the hotel contacted me and straight away I knew I was going to be in for a great service. The hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful, providing me with information on how to get to the hotel from the station, information about a buggy rental service for my two year old and they provided me with an incredible service from day one. The bedroom was very modern and comfortable and we were provided with a very good sized cot for our daughter. Really pleased we chose to stay here, very close to the metro with a 5 min train journey to hard du nor and it is on the main line for access to all of the sights. Nearby restaurants, cafes made this location perfect Will be staying here again when we bao sit Paros in the future Thanks

Great value last minute booking

Having lost my passport and not been allowed to board my flight home, I had to book a last minute hotel on a Sunday evening. Hôtel du Plat d'Etain was great value for money in a central location. The room was spotlessly clean and newly fitted out. Great amenities in the room including a coffee maker with a range of different coffee capsules. The Japanese restaurant across the road provided a delicious and inexpensive meal.The bed was a little hard for my preference but would suit most people. Check in was smooth and staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The excellent breakfast was especially noteworthy.

The hotel was in an area very close to Saint Denis metro stop and many restaurants. Notre Dame and Le Marais were about a 20-25 min walk. It was a safe area with a lot of people and a bakery directly across the street with pastries, coffee, sandwiches, etc. The staff was very nice and helpful. There is a small elevator. The room was clean and had a refrigerator. The tv had English stations and the bathroom was large and modern with an ok blow dryer. They gave us fresh towels, emptied the trash, and cleaned our room daily. There is a beautiful arc from the 1600’s right outside that you can look at while eating at the restaurant on the corner. Also there is a laundromat a 3 minute walk away.

Best stay in Paris

We stayed for nine nights. One night the headboard lighting malfunctioned and we spent a sleepless night. We spoke to the manager next day. Not only he assigned us a new room but also he offered us a free breakfast and a refund of one night stay. It was a generous offer and we sincerely thank him for his kindness. The hotel is surrounded by good restaurants and located within a short walk to the heart of Le Marais. A few Metro stations are nearby and it is very convenient to go to any of the sightseeing spots. During our stay we experienced two general strikes but we really had a great time. The hotel reception staff members are so friendly and put up with my bad French. It really made our trip something special. We would love to stay at this hotel when we visit Paris again.
