I booked a double queen for my family. When we arrived, I was in a single. The staff "found me a room," but it was dirty, smelled like sewage, the cabinets were disintegrating from water damage, the beds were old and uncomfortable, there were BIG cracks in the walls and sink, the building was falling apart, tiles were left in the walkways, the sink was cracked, paint peeling. I could go on...
I was told they were finding me a room the first few days, but none materialized. There was an issue with a guest who was so drunk he smashed his head, and blood gushed everywhere. The guest fell on my mother, and took three men to pick him up. The general manager did not want to hear our complaints and said the hotel was "not pretending to be anything it isn't, and they can't control guests". I told her my seven-year-old was crying for an hour after the drunk and bloody man fell all over the place, and she mocked her and said she could believe she was crying for an hour. She interrupted every chance she could. One of the outlets burnt out while a Nintendo Switch plug was in the wall, and it melted the charger. When I showed the GM, she said, "what, does it cost all of $20?" she wrote me a check for the charger and refunded the "resort fee," and said she "would NOT be doing anything further". She also told us that the police, that we thought were on site because of the drunk man, were there because of a woman who wanted to kill herself. Unbelievably unprofessional.
