We selected this property because of its proximity to Old San Juan and the fact it had available parking. We did not find the off-street parking but there was not much of an issue parking on the street in front of the place. There is a bar on the first floor (that does not show up on any map or website, had no posted name, and had more seating on the street/sidewalk than inside) but it was not noisy. We felt safe, but it was a bit of a surprise to be in what appeared to be a formerly industrial part of town. The accommodations were good, unless you are over six feet tall. No chance you would either be able to stand up straight in the two sleeping areas or sit on the toilet to do your business. The shower is also quite small for someone over 5' 10". What really, REALLY bothered us was the door being unlocked and opened in the middle of the night by the security guard who thought he was helping other renters into their room. Those renters were wrong, and rather than checking ID and confirming their reservation in our room, the door WAS OPENED WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING. As soon as the security person realized his mistake he backed out of the room apologizing profusely, but it was frankly terrifying to have a stranger open the only door to our accommodation in the middle of the night. I would stay there again, but this is an important detail to consider before making that decision.
