The staff was very pleasant and professional. We were able to use the Grab app to taxi around town when we wanted to explore. The staff had a great knowledge on what things should cost to insure accuracy

Will not be returning

We arrived at the hotel late and were greeted by a friendly young gentleman. He quickly checked us in and showed us to the room. this was where the pleasant bit of the stay ended. After we were left in our room we found the air conditioning didn’t work at all well however there was a fan so we would survive. Normally I would have gone to reception but this was now shut as after 11pm. I have never seen a dirtier bathroom, no effort had been made to remove even the leaves and debris from the bath and the mould was horrendous. We did not shower whilst there and made the decision we would not be extending our stay here as originally planned. the bed sheets had some ominous looking marks and the flu net smelled horribly so we didn’t want to be under it. All in all we could not wait to leave the hotel the following morning. During our short time there we did not see any other people so perhaps this is the down season - either was no excuse.

A slice of heaven

So beautiful and quiet. Only wished I had downloaded Uber sooner for getting back from old town...they tried to fleece you for the journey. Great spot, great service, and like minded guests!

Beautifully relaxing

Exceptional! Beautiful grounds, lovely pool, very quiet and peaceful. Also very nice second floor dining room with great view of the grounds.

disgusted and frustrated

we checked in very late. when we got upstairs into the room and sat on the bed the bed was literally as hard as the floor. I asked to be changed to another room for another bed as I rented a villa. I was asked to please stay in the same room by the front desk. and I wasn't offered an explanation. there were many empty rooms I could see you cross into them. then when I opened up the bathroom the jacuzzi tub was filled with insects. it was very obvious that the room had not been used recently and rather than sprucing it up they just turned on the air conditioner prior to our arrival. I didn't sleep a wink had bad back cramps...we were so grossed out by the room that we didn't even open our bags we checked out first thing in the morning. I asked for a refund for the few days that I had paid and I was offered no refund and the cancellation policy was printed out from the hotels.com site and was handed to me instead of an apology or any kind of refund offer. I would never ever ever recommend this hotel to anybody.

Quiet and isolated

Hotel is in basic good shape. Front desk staff very attentive. Restaurant and wait staff were unhurried. Spa massages were memorable, particularly the traditional Thai massage. Located on a small side road which is difficult to find. Quiet and isolated.

Good Place to stay away from city madness...

Hotel is good but a bit far away from city center and shopping malls areas.. Neighborhood doesn't make your feel like you are on resort.. However hotel has great service and good restaurant. It is more suitable for someone who wants to be away from city and stay in resort

Awful place, DO NOT STAY HERE!

Where to start! Worst thing for any hotel guest is a bed bug invasion as they are a nightmare to get rid of. It is disgraceful that a hotel which is this expensive can have a basic problem like bed bugs. Also an open roof bathroom which sounds pleasant but because it is poorly maintained (like everything else at Ban Sabai) it means the bath is constantly occupied by insects. The room we were given had a terrible view over construction site. The man on reception couldn't care less about these problems. Truly awful place. Also, don't go here thinking you're newr Chiang Mai, you're not. It's an uncomfortable 22km away.

A true gem!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. Everything about the resort is wonderful. Even though it was not close to the Old City, it was so well worth it.
