This hotel is in the middle of "The Marais" section of Paris. It is a great little boutique hotel, small but cozy and close to everything. Clean with very comfortable (twin) beds. This is the oldest section of Paris so you will be in the heart of the city but not part of a big, grand hotel.

An excellent location in the Marais district. Small rooms but to be fair to them, all hotels in Paris are small. But a few extra comforts would have been nice - there was a small fridge but no kettle in the room to make tea/coffee, for example. Staff were lovely.

The Hotel Vieux Saule was a good value. The room was not too small by Parisian standards. The bathroom was ample and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The receptionists spoke English and French. The breakfast was a very good value (at additional cost) for the price with a good variety, and served from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m. Wi-Fi was fairly strong and consistent. TV has CNN in English on channel 37. The hotel's one disadvantage is that it is located about an 8-10 minute from the nearest Metro stop so in bad weather, this is a small problem.
