Small hotel, budget, cozy, well located, 10 min walking distance from Gare du Nord, and also very close to Momtmartre. Always someone at the desk, helping with any question, really appreciated. They have a safe place to keep your luggage.

A hotel worth trying when your budget is tight.

For a budget priced hotel we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were always pleasant, room serviced every day and a beautiful en suite shower room which looked newly done. The locality with the metro station, patisserie, and several cafes and restaurants very close by more than made up for the unkempt look of the area in some places. A short stroll brings you to MontMartre and the Opera the other way plus Gare du Nord was €11 in an uber. We would definitely use Hotel Altona again.

Hotel Altona is conveniently located within walking distance of eateries, shopping, and the metro station. We enjoyed our stay during time while in Paris.

Welcoming staff. Hotel itself was in a central location in Paris but the trade off was that this meant noisy streets outside, especially with our hotel rooms facing the street. We did have fans which helped offset the noise outside, which was helpful. Other people in our group got quieter rooms facing the back courtyard.

Unplanned Overnight, Great Choice

Had an unexpected layover with a vanvelled flight, and was very happy with my choice. Spacious rooms, full bathroom, hot shower with good pressure, and 12pm checkout. Very clean and warm duvets. Great location, few mins to Gare du Nord and staff were lovely!

We chose this hotel because it was close (but not too close) to the Gare du Nord. It is small and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast there as we don't usually eat breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Very clean room and comfy bed, our shower room looked newly done. Only criticism is that the carpets on our landing need replacing. Very good for the money.

Merci Hotel Altona ! Amazing stay :)

I am a room attendant/ housekeeping for 5years in a 4star hotel in the Philippines. And I stayed for two nights in Hotel Altona and it is so amazing. The room is clean , also the bathroom. everything is perfect! And when I plan to visit in Paris again I will definitely make a reservations here in Hotel Altona. :) Overall had a great stay! PS: Staffs are also friendly

Gabriel and his family, Les Oncles!, are as accommodating as can be. Rooms are cleaned and stocked daily. 24/7 desk, petit dejeuner available for a low cost. This is a simple clean friendly hotel minutes away from Sacre Coeur in Montmartre. Metro ride down the street as is a welcoming cafe and great boulangerie on the corner. This is a working neighborhood with small shops and tourist hotels close to Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est

We made through four nights!

First of all, once I entered the lobby I smelled malodorous from the bathroom. Secondly, I didn't expect to have an (industrial) electric fan in the room (Booking a two-star hotel was my false). For the goodness: we were allowed to check in one hour early and after checking out we left our luggage at the hotel until 5 pm as we had a flight at 9:30 pm. Also there are a fast restaurant next door and a mini mart store just around the corner. This hotel is quiet at night, and it's close to the the main train station and a metro. Of course, a twin bed room is pretty small as I knew before I booked. My average room price was $153 per night (not including taxes), $614.29 for four nights. I don't think this is a budget hotel. If you want to visit most of the attraction sites, don't stay in the heart of Paris.

Bra men mycket nackdelar

Trevlig personal när man kom dit. "Sängbordet" som satt på sängramen ramlade ner under natten.... Såg på morgonen att den bara hade tejpats på med dubbelsidigt tejp på sängramen... Inte konstigt att den ramlade ner. Duschen var ok första natten. Nätterna därpå var vattenstrålarna VÄLDIGT svag av någon konstig anledning. Det gick inte äns att ta en snabbdusch. Pratade med receptionisten som tyckte den var normal och sa att dom ej kunde göra något... Man såg tydligt att vattnet inte sprutade ut något. Bra läge med nära station, men ej säkert om man bor själv då stationen som ligger närmast verkar väldigt livat på kvällarna/nätterna.
