Excellent stay for a very (09:30 of the morning of the night I stayed!) last minute booking so always a bit nervous as you are never sure what you will get (especially in central London!) and this hotel more than exceeded the expectations I had. All in all a very smart and comfortable place to stay at a more than reasonable nightly rate.

Very up to date decor. I stayed in a single room which was a bit snug but pleasantly furnished. Bed was comfortable and the room came with complimentary soft drinks and a nespresso coffee machine. I don’t know if larger rooms have a minibar fridge but in my room the drinks were at room temp although the staff could probably bring you ice from the bar if you ask. Staff were friendly and breakfast had plenty of choice. The hotel was 5-10mins from the tube, the Royal Albert Hall, the natural history museum, science museum and the V&A museum. I stayed at the hotel to attend a concert at the RAH and found the location very convenient as I didn’t have to walk back far to the hotel afterwards. Just be aware that you have to ring the door bell when you first arrive as the door is locked (your room key also unlocks the front door once you’ve checked in). Would definitely consider staying again if coming to see another concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Pulling up to the address, to be honest, we weren't exactly sure if it was even a hotel. There's no sign that says it's a hotel, and all we saw was the number "54" on one of the pillars. However, the desk agent immediately opened the door for us and helped us with the luggage. This was our first time overseas, and we didn't know what to expect aside from previous reviews. The check in process was painless and our room was on the first floor. The room itself was no frills, and small. It was literally, a small desk, the bed, and 2 nightstands. There was a small closet, fridge, and safe as you enter the room, but separate from the bedroom itself. It had a private terrace, and the shower was very small compared to what we're used to back home. However, thinking about it...we explored the city almost the entire length of our stay. All we need when traveling is a comfy bed and hot shower. Both of which are excellent at the 54 QG. Everyone from the staff was very friendly, and were so helpful when we had questions. The area around the hotel is very posh, with museums across the street, parks within walking distance, and restaurants around the corner. Overall, a great place to stay! We hope to be back soon!
