Long wait to get the room, poor communication, room never cleaned, person that lives there is always smoking weed and has a temper

Thank you so much to Jinky and the team at AinB apartments. The accommodation was so central to one of the best parts of Barcelona. We felt safe and secure leaving our belongings in the room and check in was very easy and straight forward. Delicious omelettes and croissants for breakfast each day was such a bonus! Very comfy bed and the air-conditioning was so lovely after a hot day shopping! Another bonus was how quiet it was in comparison to other apartments we have stayed in around the city. We would definitely book again.

We enjoyed the area and the convenience of the metro. However the room we stayed in was perpetual twilight because the lobby lights shown directly into our room. There were no curtains or drapes to block the light. I found it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Other than that it was clean, staff was helpful, the breakfast was satisfactory and overall condition good. And we loved the locality.

The location is very adequate, the rooms were clean and confortable .

The place was not it was meant to be, beds where really small, to small to be exact, the toilet didn’t work, some of the lights didn’t work, just room wasn’t what thy made it seem to be on the pictures. Had to leave the place and waste more money on getting another hotel. We where 3 ppl.

Great location. Very clean. Jinky the main staff is the best EVER! what a wonderful person. Always smiling and making sure that you had everything needed. Very humble and at the same time very professional. She makes the best omelette. I will definitely will come back and honestly just to be treated the way she made us feel. Really felt at home

While the accommodation was comfortable and the staff were friendly enough, the running of the place was scattered, quite inconvenient. Upon check-in, I was informed the credit card machine wasn't working and was encouraged to get cash from a nearby ATM. I said I didn't want to do that as withdrawing money costs me fees. The person at the front desk said he wasn't the usual person and the the lady who runs it had told him I should go get cash. And he didn't know anything about when the machine would be repaired. Eventually I gave in, as I had extra cash with me. I understand technology fails sometimes, but not having an alternative and no notification in advance it was down is not acceptable. The breakfast was sparse and only available from 9-10:30. We remarked that it seemed like a very late and limited time for breakfast in such a touristic city as Barcelona. We were told breakfast was on 'Spanish time'.. Again, understood, but as tourists, we were on our time and on the time of various tours we wanted to take. Even so, the first morning, very little was even ready right at 9:00. The hotel is in an apartment building. There was a dog in a nearby apartment that was yelping for over 30 minutes late one evening. Again, unavoidable, but it's not a place the hotel should be if there are noisy dogs permitted outside guests' windows - especially since the hotel doesn't permit pets themselves.

The street, building and elevators are a little sketchy (we arrived at midnight due to a flight delay) and I’m glad I wasn’t alone. Once we got into the room, everything was fine. Clean, comfortable, and decent breakfast.
