Mixed stay – Great food and staff, but room cleanliness and maintenance need attention
We had a lovely holiday overall, as there was a lot to praise, though a few things fell short of expectations for a 5-star or luxury property.
• The Positives: The food at the main buffet was truly fantastic—very diverse and delicious every single day. The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the bartenders—especially at the Terrace Bar—were absolute rockstars. We also really enjoyed the water slide park, and while the beach is quite small, it was still nice and pleasant.
• The Negatives: Room cleanliness was a major issue. On two separate occasions, after the room had been "cleaned," we found a black clump of hair left on top of the towels. Since we are both light-haired, this was pretty unhygienic and disappointing. Furthermore, the hotel doesn't feel very new or well-maintained; a lot of things in the room looked worn down and the overall workmanship/finish in the room felt rushed and low-quality.
• Pools: The main swimming pool was freezing cold, making it hard to actually enjoy.
With better attention to housekeeping detail and room upkeep, this place could be great, but right now it falls a bit short.
