Amazing localization - within this area you can access all main atractions by foot. In addition, metro is just around the corner (literally). On the flip side, there was some issue with malfunctioning fire alarm - gentelman at the reception advised it is nothing - three days in a row. Very comfortable beds however, very small room (maybe just room no. 31?) but this is a Paris standard from what I know.

Really wonderful folks - friendly and hospitable front desk staff. Room was cleaned daily. Found that the pillows were too high for a comfy sleep. Great queen size bed - 2 beds put together. Overall great experience and location.

Good location - 20 minute direct train from Gare du Nord and 1 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. Good to get around on the metro. When arriving to the hotel the receptionist couldn’t find the booking. Didn’t speak English so hard to communicate and didn’t seem to be doing anything to find the confirmation. After I rang hotels.com he was able to “find” the booking. When checking out I was told my booking wasn’t paid for, this time the receptionist was very helpful and able to speak English, it seems when checking in the staff didn’t put any notes on the computer to say there was an issue. Hard to communicate with other receptionists as they were unable to speak any English, not even key or iron, and were very rude about the fact we didn’t understand french. Apparently you are meant to leave your key at the front desk when leaving the hotel but we weren’t informed of this until 2 days later when I said I would like to keep the key the receptionist got angry. Small room but nice and comfy bed - double room but 2 single duvets and an AC with a mind of its own. Iron which just leaks out water. Tiny lift barely able to fit 2 people in. Majority of staff seemed nice but let down by the 1 or 2 ignorant ones.

Very nice small hotel. 1-3 minute walk to several Metro Stations. Our room was on top floor, a larger room, well worth the price. Large for city and very quiet. Good restaurant on corner. Will stay again when back In Paris

The Hotel Atelier Vavin had ants all over the room. I have a video of the ants. The front desk person said it was only 1 ant, which is a lie, and refused to give me a refund when I left the property. He said "That's life!" I will never book a room at this hotel or through hotels.com who sided with the hotel manager. I did try to reach hotels.com before leaving the premises but I was on hold for over an hour. So I left the hotel because the ants were crawling up the bed posts while I was on hold with hotels.com
