SPA stop on way to Cologne

Two day spa stay in Clerveaux on our way to Cologne. Although the hotel is in need of a full renovation, the staff was courteous and the SPA was first class.

Mooi en proper hotel. Alles tot in de puntjes afgewerkt. Heel uitgebreid ontbijt. De spa mogelijkheden vereisen naakt te gebeuren, wat voor ons geen probleem was, maar sommige mensen schrikken daarvan heb ik gemerkt. Mooie locatie, voldoende parkeergelegenheid overal en goeie locatie om als uitvalsbasis te dienen voor de streek.

Il est bien dommage que nous ayons été surclassé dans une suite surplombant la fête foraine en cours d’installation.. le vrombissement du camion frigorifique du marchand de gaufres a pourri notre nuit. C’est le genre de détails qu’un établissement de ce standing doit anticiper. Car sinon cela aurait été presque parfait, au buffet de petit déjeuner, très moyen près..

Mooi hotel maar niet comfortabel geslapen

Een fantastisch mooi hotel waar het zeker de moeite is om de upgrade naar de suite te nemen. Mooie kamers op een centrale ligging. Wel hoop ik dat er meer concurrentie komt voor dit hotel. Enkele opvallende zaken tijdens ons verblijf: 1: matrassen zijn veel te zacht. 4 nachten hierdoor slecht geslapen. De receptie kon het niks uitmaken. 2: room service wordt toch niet aangeboden. Als je belt nemen ze niet op. Vervolgens zeggen ze dat je beneden moet komen en vervolgens zeggen ze je daar dat ze geen room service doen. 3: Sauna gebied is mooi meegenomen maar zou er niet extra voor betalen. 4: zwembad deel is mooi (wel een beetje koud) 5: de massage was heerlijk en kan ik aanraden.

Zimmer, Juniorsuite war groß und sehr gut ausgestattet, neuwertig mit bequemen Betten. Geschmacklich ist die ganze Hoteleinrichtung nicht unsere Richtung, aber das ist halt Geschmacksache. Schwimmbad hat angenehme Größe, manchmal waren wir alleine dort, manchmal ist es eher voll. Der Ort ist guter Ausgangspunkt für Touren mit dem ÖPNV.

Fantastische omgeving, echt genoten. Qua accommodatie had ik meer verwacht voor deze prijzen. Ontbijt was karig en ongezellige ontbijtzaal. Op het eerste gezicht leek de kamer schoon, maar de kussens en het dekbed hadden hun beste tijd gehad en waren absoluut niet fris. Verder prima hotel.

Sich im Hotel rumzufinden ist schon anstrengend. Vom Parking, über die unzähligen Aufzüge und Wege ohne Plan ist schon schwer zumutbar. Sehr schönes Hotel und Zimmer aber Kissen sind sehr hart und obwohl die Rezeption 24 offen hat geht keiner dran um andere zu bekommen. Spa ist veraltet und Frühstück sehr einfach. Allem in allem zu teuer für was man bekommt.

Het was de 2de keer dat we verbleven in Le Clervaux. De receptie was moeilijk te vinden en bevond zich in hotel Koener wat toch een stuk minder uitstraling heeft dan Le Clervaux. De kamers waren nog steeds prima en zagen er zeer luxueus uit. We hadden een mooie suite met aparte living met zicht op het kasteel maar de zetel was vuil, aparte slaapkamer met bed met zeer zachte matras, apart toilet en badkamer met grote regendouche en bad. Aan het zwembad was nog niet veel veranderd en ouderwerts. We hebben gegeten in Brasserie Koener. De bediening was heel vriendelijk maar het voorgerecht liet wat lang op zich wachten, we vroegen het dan na en toen kregen we het direct.... een fles wijn was zeer duur maar je had geen keuze. Het ontbijt was in de feestzaal van de hotels. Heel ongezellig, en waarschijnlijk was ook het ontbijt van hotel Koener daar. Verder was de kwaliteit ok. Kortom het hotel Le Clervaux was ok maar de prijs niet meer waard omdat het samen gaat met het veel goedkopere hotel Koener. Spijtig.

Zeer vriendelijke bediening - hotel beschikt over meerdere restaurants maar vermits het vrij rustig was - hebben ze wat gereorganiseerd in locatie wat het iets ongezelliger maakt - ontbijt was goed, maar de ruimte is dringend toe aan renovatie! In het algemeen ook wel het gevoel dat er behoefte aan wat restauratiewerken…
