I had no idea how great of a location this place turned out to be. The 16th street mall was a short block away.. 3-4 mins if you didn't have to wait for the light to cross 15th. Capitol hill is a few blocks away and plenty of access to rail or buses. The room we got was in the corner of the building which was perfect for neighbor noise which we had none. The breakfast and service was probably the best I've we've seen at a Hampton Inn. They had just about everything you would want on the menu from cereals, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, ham, sausage, potatoes, waffles, breads, donuts(not usual for any morning breakfast), juices and of course coffee and tea. The attendants were quick to pick up finished dished and quickly replaced any item that was finished or address any concern we had. Union Station is a short 25 minute walk or you can catch the 'free' mall buses that get you pretty close. The one thing I didn't like was the business center was not working for old fashioned boarding passes but also to browse for any other information that could come in handy for the occasional traveler. I would definitely stay here again. Lounge area was very comfortable and they had a fire pit enclosure that warmed up the entry. Convention center is next door as well. No concerns of safety walking into late evening. Target and Walgreens less than 10 min walk. We didn't have parking so I can't give any insights to that experience.
