This place was an interesting mix of run down and obviously taken care of. Got there late in the middle of a long road trip. The guy at the front desk was chill, but after getting all checked in lugged my bags across the whole property, passed several condemned rooms, to find my key didn’t work. Went all the way back to get two more keys which also didn’t work. Noticed through the window there seemed to be furniture stacked on top of the bed. Went all the way back to make sure it was the right room and had to walk all the way back with the front desk guy to prove the lock was broken and the room had furniture stacked inside it. He said it had happened a few times already that week - really feels like the first time you realize they didn’t put rooms back together after doing the floors you’d do a sweep and make sure rooms you are renting out are ready for people. By this time my shoulders were seriously hurting from my bags, I was hot, and so so ready for bed. Had to go all the way back to the front, get re-checked in to a different room. The room was so hot, smelled bad, and when I went to take a cool shower the shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere. It was… a very long day. That being said, the room was clean, the parking lot was well lit, and it felt like they bought furniture from a more expensive motel. Was overall grateful for a place to stop and rest for the night.
