This is a very basic budget hotel, only thing that was a challenge was the small staircase getting to the room on the 3rd floor, apart from that nice staff, clean rooms

Perfect for purpose.

Perfect for purpose, friendly receptionist. Clean and comfortable. Could do with black out blinds on sky window and staircase window. Fan was a saviour in the heat.

Lovely place walking distance to the town centre. Clean and confortable. GBP5 for street parking nearby. Parking ont eh road was easy to find. If you are staying only for the night, there is free parking between 6pm and 8am

Disturbed sleep

The location is great. The insulation is very poor, i could hear the neighbours room the noise from the TV. The mattress is terrible, needs replacing as it was a little lumpy and bump so I couldn't get a good night's sleep for 3 days. The room was ok, the bathroom was very small just enough room for a shower and a toilet. It is walkable distance to the main historical area, the defence walls, the beautifu houses and the pubs on Spice Island so that was a bonus.

Had a lovely stay in the cottage at the rear of the property. Couldn't ask for better service or location. If you're in Portsmouth this has to be to considered for a stay.
