호텔 호팅겐

This is a lovely boutique hotel about a mile from the river. It was the first stop on our honeymoon, so we were tired, arriving around 10 am from a transatlantic flight. Check in wasn’t until 4 pm, but they held our luggage as we wandered the town. And got us into our room around noon. So grateful. The room was oversized, with nice amenities (great shower!). Breakfast was adequate.

Had the room with 2 individual twin beds. Very basic room. Issues with A/C. Location was good. Not real close to city center yet still walking distance & close to tram stop. Reception staff was great, and the breakfast and dining room were fabulous. As well as the gentleman working in the breakfast area.

The hotel is located in “old city”, close to famous historical church. Since the building itself is historical, difficult to find out the entrance. There is a door next to steakhouse. Small but cozy room. I cannot say there is a nice view, but I can feel relaxed there. Shower room is really tight. Breakfast is minimum. But the bar underground was really nice atmosphere, it was an old wine cellar like a cave and I believe worth trying.

Small room with small bath. All worked well. This hotel has standard Swiss outlets so you need a Swiss adaptor. This is usually not in an US purchased adaptor set. We purchased one earlier in our trip and it was put to use at this hotel. Hotel conveniently located on Tram line 3 to the Hauptbahnhof. Good breakfast with Twinnings brand teas.

Very good place...beds pretty soft...otherwise great
