Great find

Stayed here a good number of times and always enjoyed our stay. Food is always decent albeit pub style grub, restaurant can get busy so worth booking a table, very easy to do on the app. Staff always polite and extremely helpful. Rooms are a good size and always clean and well presented. Bar area is usually pretty busy every evening but has a great atmosphere.

Service was both friendly and professional. On checking in, we asked if we could have a quiet room and it was immediately changed. Tea and coffee were generous and welcome note and chocolates we a nice touch. This will become a regular place to stay when visiting family.

8/10 Very good

Easy to find, very comfortable place to stay, with parking incl and only 20mins from NEC. Bar restaurant meals available. Good breakfast. Could be better sound insulated as we could hear TV from neighbouring room and voices in corridor. Much better than Premier Inn option for similar price.

Comfortable

Hotel has been upgraded and is very comfortable. Our room was huge with lovely free standing bath but we had to go along lots of corridors and stairs. At breakfast cups were chipped and not that clean but food was great

The hotel was perfect for my brief stay (up from Devon for a funeral in Knowle Church) although I know the hotel well having lived in the area from 1976 to 2003. Just one small suggestion for improvement: I believe that a direction sign to Reception is needed on the wall to the left of Room 4 pointing left. This would help enormously!

Greswolde Arms Hotel

We stayed here as it is very local to my sisters and were up for a family Christmas and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed and everything was polite and friendly. The room was well presented and there were even chocolates waiting for us. Plus a fully stocked coffee/tea/hot chocolate and biscuits. The ensuite had a wonderful shower plus clean fluffy towels and a heated towel rail with shower gel/soap. The heating was on and it was very warm when we arrived, so we turned it off and would have been better to have left on a low setting as it was slightly chilly in the morning. We had breakfast and this was a lovely cooked meal with also cold buffet with pastries and cereals. The room was clean and whole visit was welcoming and we will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

just okay

I think for the price i would have expected better quality of pillows and some some nice toiletries. Its an older building so was very creaky. So was conscious of walking around the room. We had dinner at the pub, and again the quality was not good and breakfast was dreadful, not worth the £10.50

Could be lovely but let down by a lack of staff.

This could be a very comfortable hotel as it is in a lovely village outside of Birmingham. However it is let down by by a lack of staff with the reception only open at check in and check out times otherwise you have you have to go find someone to help with queries. Our room looked out onto a flat roof on which were placed various refrigeration units which were very noisy at night and the window had frosted glass, presumably to mask the view. Whilst the cooked food at breakfast was ok the continental display was poorly stocked due the lack of staff resulting in guests having to constantly ask for things such as butter, milk and bread for the toaster. However the staff in the Chef and Brewer pub in the same premises during the evenings were extremely helpful and the evening meal excellent.

From 8.40 am I tried to raise someone at Reception on at least 3 times over I/2 hour. No one came to answer the bell and the only one around, a waitress could not locate ANYONE. You lost a £100 sale.

Clean, comfy and great for the airport!

We stayed here after a long day of travel. Booked it after we discovered our flight to Birmingham airport had been delayed so we would be later getting back than planned. Our flight was delayed further and we were concerned we would miss check in, I was unable to get hold of the hotel via phone or email, which was a concern. Luckily we landed a little earlier than expected and got there around 8:30. It was only a 10 minute drive to the airport so ideal!! This hotel was lovely. Looked like it had been newly refurbished. Room and bathroom were traditional but modern. Shower was nice and toiletries smelt good. The greeting at reception was great and the bar had a good range of drinks. We arrived late so didn't eat but the food looked and smelt delicious. We would have eaten there if our travel plan hadn't been delayed. We left very early in the morning and the night porter was friendly and helpful. The parking was included as well which was great. Overall apart from issues communicating the experience was lovely and we would definitely stay again if were flying into Birmingham.

Bathroom smelt awful and it hit us as soon as we entered the room. Grubby carpet and torn lace on the windows. Parking was sufficient although hard to get into. Staff were friendly. Bed was like a brick. Very hard and high so hard to get in and out of. Would not stay again
