Pro: Overall a good stay for 2 nights. The room was very spacious and we were upgraded to a partial ocean view. The Ilikai is big and has both hotel rooms and timeshares. Ice cream shop and small lobby stores are not bad for a quick look. Hotel= 5 stars Con: Their hotel driveway for valet was always busy. Too many tourists crossing when one is turning right from the main road. I forgot how much valet was, about $30 I think.

Husband has a terminal illness but is still somewhat mobil. The pool areas are uncomfortable. Not enough shade. Attendant was rude and seemed to save shade for some customers and not others. One pool had band aides floating in the pool. We were told lounge chairs could not be moved as much as 1 foot because of HOA rules. As a former HOA president of several properties that seemed a little too restrictive.

Good hotel, free shuttle service not so good and tracking the shuttle is a waste of time. No accurate timetable. Honestly quicker to walk.

The area was great - lively but not overly busy as is the Waikiki strip further down. The room was comfortable with a spacious kitchen. The only downer was that the carpets were being replaced on our floor almost the entire duration of our stay, but it wasn't too terrible.

The likai lite was was a nice. Hotel. Check in was frustrating as it took half an hour as their machine was not working. We did get upgraded . Friendly staff would stay again.
