Wonderful service. Very pleasant stay.

Nice comfortable place for a good nights stay. staff as usual is excellent. Easy access to Centrale Train station by Metro or Uber and other taxi companies.

It was a good clean place, but a bit noisy with a couple coachloads of teenagers staying

Meininger is a decent quality "basics" hotel. Good for a business trip. HOWEVER, they have a real issue with mosquitoes. We ended up there after being stranded when another booking turned out to be fake (another story) so didn't have time to read the reviews left by others. We checked in (friendly staff on reception) and went to our room which was really hot, so we opened a window for an hour. We had no idea we would end up with so many mosquitoes - that first night we killed 6, so it meant we hardly slept. The next morning I complained (totally indifferent guy on reception) and was told I shouldn't have opened the window. We were not warned at check in about any issues with mosquitoes! How should we know we should not to a very basic thing like open a window because the room so hot. The heating is centrally controlled, so it's still on winter setting and they were not expecting it to be so warm - ok, fair enough, but the fact it IS warm, so surely you can turn the heating off????? No apparently not. He said he would ask maintenance to take a look. We went out for the day, came back late that night and the window was open!!! I went down to complain and was told yes of course the window was open, it was the only way to get fresh air in. Sigh! In the end I was sent back to my room with a can of fly spray which I'm sure was not good for us to breathe in. So, the rest of the stay we had fly spray, a hot room and do not disturb on the door to stop housekeeping opening the window

Lovely clean and confortable hotel. Slight drawbacks - apprently aircon cannot be switched on in italy yet, so needed window open. No net curtains, so in came the mosquitoes. Also we asked for two rooms nearby each other but this was ignored and we were on different floors.
