I went down for breakfast bundled in a heavy coat, shawl, and mask, having just recovered from the flu. A breakfast staff member approached me rudely, asking for my room number and name in front of other guests without explaining why or even offering a greeting.
I contacted the hotel manager, who advised the staffer had done as this before. The manager noted she would address it with her. She proceeded to explained that the inquiry was likely for billing purposes. Hmmm…breakfast was complimentary. The manager also mentioned some form of compensation, but I haven’t received anything yet. Very disappointed with my stay. My spouse usually books us with Hilton, but we’ll look for an alternative hotel.
