The receptionist gave me the keys to a room that was already occupied. I opened the room door only to find someone already booked in that room (to both our surprises). Receptionist then gave me another room. Upon entering my new room, I found someone’s suitcases on the bed. I immediately called to have them taken away. My room had a musty humid smell to it. I will not be revisiting this hotel.

Inexpensive, clean, no elevator, nice little bar downstairs. Parking handy, nice area to walk around and stretch your legs

Not a Great Place for resting

Friday.night and bar downstairs was booming to late. Fortunately the A/C was cranked so I got to sleep but loudness woke me up a few times. Bed was pretty good and helped me to get to sleep but would never stay there again. Also free coffee in room and parking in front of hotel are a plus but no deadbolt on door had me a little worried. So glad it was only one night.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was old fashioned, but clean and cosy. The bed was comfortable. I like the location, as it was a walkable distance to everything. During my stay, from Monday thru Thursday it was quiet.

8/10 Very good

The hotel itself was okay, appeared recently renovated. again...no elevator so I had to lug suitcases up stairs...not easy if you have bad knees and no one there to assist. Not far from the river, and as you moved closer it seemed to be more visitor friendly. Did not feel safe around the hotel (which by the way does not look like the picture on expedia...no flowers, no awnings)...I was not sure I was at the correct place. Parking was available across the street from the hotel, but it was dirty, fowl smelling and inhabited by homeless/transients. Upon returning from dinner, there was a gentlemen urinating in front of my car.... very awkward, and I did not feel comfortable leaving the hotel during evening hours as a solo traveler. No place to walk for breakfast, so left rather early.

Friendly budget option

More of a budget friendly stay, rooms are comfortable but just ok. The bathroom was small and tight; but usable. The service was great, and fairly accessible to the main areas in the town. We easily got parking on the street right in front, and so had no issues with that.

Night club warning! Run away

We booked Hotel Auberge-Centreville in Saguenay, Quebec in Feb 2025 through Hotels.com for 1 night with 2 adults and 2 kids as part of our 10 days trip through Ontario and Quebec in July 2025. The total cost of that night booked was $130.89. When we arrived to the Hotel Auberge-Centreville on Thursday, July 17th, we were informed that the agreed upon price that we showed the attendant at the reception from a printout from Hotels.com was, according to him, incorrect. The hotel staff member wrote through a Google translate “We do not deal with hotel websites that write and post wrong pricing and you can to take the hotel room with our new price or you can find somewhere else to go”. We really had no choice but to accept their higher price of $142.80. Also, if we disagreed with the attendant, we were not sure if we were still to be charged a late cancellation fee. Besides, we also checked other hotels around the area and there was no availability during our arrival. Also, at this point we were not informed about the noise that was going to start in a few hours on the first floor in the bar/lounge. On the Hotels.com listing; there was no information or warning regarding the fact that the bar/lounge at this location is actually a karaoke bar/nightclub. After we checked in, the loud music started around 10pm and ended at 3am. This noise started reverberating into our room on the 2nd floor. There was no way to get a good night sleep during this time even with pillows around

8/10 Very good

Really good hotel if you are deaf. Otherwise be ready for loud karaoke music until 2 am. Impossible to sleep with the music downstairs shaking the whole building.
