We paid for an upgrade and they put us in a cheaper room with no view. The tv was broken. Nobody at the desk after 5pm.

Lovely view, location! Nice jacuzzi tub. The vent in shower didn’t work

Very disapointing stay. The room did not meet expectations. The only window faces a patio that you share with 3 other rooms. There is very little privacy and extremely noisy. the common areas were dirty and had flies. Everytime someone flushed a toilet above you could hear. How is this 3.5 star hotel?

We loved it! Very beachy, but no surprise as it is right by the beach. Very clean, comfy bed, great A/C. Very nice patio to sit and have your coffee and become mesmirized by the sound of the waves. Only downside is the train that runs right by the beach, but we knew that going in as we are familiar with San Clemente. Several restaurants right below the hotel. We plan on going back! Also dog friendly as we had our 16 lb pup with us.

The room was clean, the common area was dirty. The room had old blinds. The hospitality area was dirty and lacking coffee and tea.

Really beautiful, unique spot. You're paying for the view and the location. After I checked in, I left a check-in review that was initially a little disappointed: the hotel had failed to provide the parking garage access as requested and confirmed, and the room was very different than what I had expected, largely because the photos don't do a great job of depicting it: rather than a real swinging door, there was a sliding glass door with a curtain in front of it, and the patio and ocean view from the room were not private. However, over the next couple of nights my fiancee and I fell in love with the vibe and how perfect it was for a beach weekend where we didn't have to sleep on the in-laws' floor. If you're looking for a place where you can hermetically seal yourself in a room and gaze longingly out the window, this isn't the place. But, if you're looking for a place to lay your head that isn't the sand, this is great.

I loved the set up of the hotel, but parking was hard to find. Be sure to check in first before you park to get the remote that allows you to get in the garage. Also, it might be best to take a smaller car to fit in the garage.

Hotel is undergoing a remodel. Our room was very nice and comfortable. Common areas still need a lot of attention. Noise from train was a little annoying but not too bad when the window was closed.
