This boutique hotel is a paradise in paradise. I liked everything about it.

Eilleen and her staff were amazing. They provided amazing service. The hotel was private and located well for water activities.

Wow Just came home after a visit to beautiful Moorea I am already looking to plan my next trip and off course staying at this most wonderful little gem. I have NEVER had an experience so wonderful. Customer service like no other. It is quaint and full of character with so many nooks to sit and relax. A perfect get away to sooth the soul. Did I mention the food.,,,, The lagoon view....

This is a garden paradise. The lush environment and flowers are beautiful. It exceeded my expectations for beauty and tropical privacy. This is the perfect spot for newlyweds. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone after I advise of some avoidable difficulties. 1) The half board prices are very expensive. Half board meaning breakfast and dinner at almost $100 per person/per day. The menu is fixed by management with no selection from guests. The hotel is located in residential area and there is only one restaurant within walking distance and it serves lunch only.. 2) The owner speaks very little English and some of the staff speak more and others speak hardly any. This created two problems for us. We asked our server if wine was included in our dinner and the answer was yes. When we received our bill we were charged for two $15.00 a glass wines and even for our water. My husband reserved a kayak 24 hours in advance. When he arrived at 4:00 pm the two kayaks were out in the water and did not return for 2 hours. We were checking out the next morning. The beauty of the place overrides these two difficulties. We enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the sea in such a tranquil and beautiful location. Great way to wind down and rejuvenate.

Amazing tropical gardens inundate the entire hotel and there is a wrap-around deck/dock along the lagoon. The room was private and comfortable. The most outstanding part (to me) was the epic food - we took half-board both nights we stayed and would have a hard time turning it down on any occasion. Breakfasts were large and high quality with lots of options. Dinners were 3-course and on par with some of the best fine dining restaurants we've had the pleasure to attend. We stayed on 4 islands on our trip and Fenua Mata'i'oa was the highlight. Next time we visit Tahiti we'd definitely choose Moorea+Fenua Mata'i'oa over Bora Bora based on considerably better value and the extremely good experience. Know there are bugs; you're on a tropical island, bring some deet and you'll be fine.
