Overall, nice stay. The Isla Bella Burger was probably the best burger I've ever had. My biggest gripe was that they close the pools (even the Adults only pool) at 8pm. The resort pool is open until 10, but if there's a pool literally outside your room, who wants to walk across the resort to the main pool when its 8pm, and still light out? For safety reasons, I understand restrictions on kids, but what adult wants to be locked out of a pool at 8pm? Check-out was at 11, which is standard. Breakfast is served until 12, firm. We wanted to order a couple of the Isla Bella Burgers for the road, and were told we'd have to wait until 12:15, even though they're on the "All-Day menu." They didn’t even attempt to make an exception.
My last gripe, I'll just call a design flaw. On your patio, you have a privacy wall to the left of you, on the right side, its completely open, so you can see your neighbors, and they can see you. Unless you're staying with friends or family to the right of you, I just thought it was a little weird. Have a privacy wall on both sides, or neither side, in my opinion. Other than those issues, the resort was clean and modern. The resort is beautiful.
The location is perfect. It's right off the 7-mile bridge, so there's other restaurants nearby, and if you're itching for more of an actual beach, there's Sombrero to the north, and Bahia Honda just across the bridge. Next time we decide to drive down to the Keys, we'd probably try somewhere else.
