Perfect quiet location

Modern, clean, comfy bed, good size room plenty of space for 2 suitcases and hanging clothes, handy self serve laundromat across road, quiet area short walk to train station, restaurants and tourist area. Small breakfast to start our day, our host was a lovely lady who was very attentive, I would definitely stay here again. It was a little tricky finding the correct building, when you turn into the dead end street it’s a car park on the right, back of the building behind car rental, press buzzer for Melrose Executive enter and go to level 1, turn left out of lift.

Melrose exceeded our expectations in Sorrento. The house keeper stayed a bit late to check us in and she constantly asked how we were doing and would bring us breakfast in bed. High praises to her. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a bed and breakfast more than a hotel and can be a bit tricky to find (go around the building to the back door in the parking lot). The owner is excellent at communicating and will answer very quickly any questions you may have. Mama is the cleaner and bringer of your breakfast and she is a joy! We really enjoyed this lovely facility.

A beautiful property located in a prime location for exploring Sorrento. It was only a short walk into the centre and had all the amenities you would need. The room itself was very modern and the host was quick at responding and very helpful with any enquiries.

Great place. Close to the city center and dozens of great restraunts and shops! Nearby to the marina which is relatively easy to go to but you might want to find the lift to return..lots and lots of steps. I loved Sorrento and my stay at the Melrose!

Cozy and lovely

Our hostess Nora and housekeeper were accommodating, friendly and attentive to our needs. Whilst there’s a bit of a distance to the train station, the room was spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the fruit tree garden. Grazie!

Conveniently located in the centre of Sorrento making it the perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast. The apartment is modern and clean with a continental breakfast served in the room. Very reasonably priced for the great location! Parking nearby made it easy for us to get around by car which comes with high price but this is normal for the area.

Great place! But despite the name, not a hotel

It's a small pensione with 4 guest rooms in a residential apt building. A little off the beaten path but only about a 10-min (at most) walk to the center of Sorrento -- and as a result much less expensive than the properties right in town. My room was fabulous: spacious, clean, comfy, with a small balcony.

The room was nice but it was not the area shown in photos. No pool which was also shown and far from the center, was told we could leave our bags and explore for the day and once we were there we told we weren’t aloud or if we did it was at our own risk. Wasn’t very happy with the stay

Cute little place in a somewhat quiet area. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Friendly staff when checking in. Comfortable bed, decent sized room, great shower! The breakfast served at the door was a nice touch and well appreciated. Weird check in system, as it is an apartment converted into a hotel. We could hear the neighbours (mostly their kids) screaming at 10pm. Not so pleasant. Also, the property’s description states access to a pool, which is nowhere close to that location. It literally is in a nearby city, which takes about 15 minutes by public transportation. What a disappointment. Finally, on our checkout date, the receptionist was quite rude and pushy, as we were running behind a couple of minutes, and we felt rushed and unwanted.

This property is listed as a hotel, however; is more of a glorified hostel with private rooms. They have converted 1 apartment into 4 small rooms. The cleaner is wonderful and tries to make your stay amazing. The space is nice but there is a moisture / sewage issue where the bathroom has a musty/ outhouse smell. As the space was converted, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone’s conversations, alarms, toilets flushing etc. Additionally, there is a light that is motion censored at the armoire. If you need to use the washroom at night there is no way to turn off the light so you wake up your partner or baby with the bright light. Breakfast was good, coffee of your choice, bread of your choice and a juice. It is brought to you each morning unlike the photo where there is food layed out for you to choose. Each day you fill out a card with the amount, they were very generous. There is hotel construction outside which is very noisy. The space is very good walking distance to any amenities with a small grocery store with fresh produce, bakery, and laundry mat across the way. There is stated an elevator however it is very tiny, our stroller could not fit inside. My husband would carry it up the 2 flight’s of stairs each way. This was no issue for us however may be important for others. The room was very clean and bright: the patio is a nice touch and the black out blinds work extremely well. We had a nice stay but it was not at all what was listed / expected.

This is a very difficult place to find. Google Maps couldn’t find an easy route. Locals and taxi drivers couldn’t find it. Breakfast was terrible. First day, fruits were bruised, cappuccino was terrible. Ordered Americano and it tasted like flavoured water. Croissant did not look appetizing and did not taste that good. The room is small, so if you have a large suitcase, then it is a very tight squeeze. It felt cramped. For us, we prefer the customer service from a hotel than a guest house, and if you have any questions, you can’t ask the reception because they leave at a certain time. The receptionist was also rude at certain points and not always genuine.
