Venue lovely. Food good. Male manager was very off when i asked for a topper or spare duvet to cover the cheap nasty mattress on the single bed. Milk was in date but off at breakfast and there was no staff present to ask for a fresh bottle.

The accommodation would have been lovely if it was open! I was met in the car park by a man who apologised that they were shut but said he couldn’t lput it on the website so had made me a room up but advised that the whole pub was shut . He then gave me a key and said to just let myself out. That was the last time a saw or heard anyone at all! As far as I was aware I was then the only person in the building! My breakfast was in a paper bag on the window ledge in the room and to get any food or drink that evening I had to drive 30 minutes away. The actual room was quaint but clean and had the place been open I am sure would have been lovely! There should be a note on the bookings page that says closed on Mondays!!! I left the next morning without seeing a soul and just shut the door behind me!

Crap rip off

No breakfast wasn’t mentioned well was but not cooked in room pot of porridge and a stale bit off bread paid 95 pound rip off manger very rude person

Cold room cold breakfast

Room was freezing cold. So was the restaurant area. Breakfast was only some sad looking pastries wrapped in plastic, and breakfast fast food porridge pots and belvita biscuits. This needs to be communicated properly especially when it is a country pub location where you would expect a nice hot breakfast in the morning. The landlord said he doesn’t do hot breakfast anymore as business people tend to want to rush out and need something quick. I have been travelling for business over 15 years and I always want something decent for breakfast. I understand it’s their choice but if I had known I was going to get I would not have stayed there. Evening meal was nice enough and the service on the whole was fine. They need to review how they hear the place though.

Great people, great food great place to stay.

Hospitality and food were brilliant and cannot be faulted. The room was a little small and had no desk or internet access which was a pain as the only place I could get access was in the bar. I will stay here again for sure.

A lovely place to stay, very quiet location well kept craft ales, I didn't eat but from what I heard other diners were very satisfied and it looked good, I would happy stay again and would recommend it

A very quaint country inn/pub/guest house. I had an evening meal one night and it was very good! The room was adequate but fairly small and in my opinion over-priced. Breakfast (in the room) was extremely mediocre and if a proper breakfast is not available then the cost of the B&B ought to be reduced and not bothered with at all, to remove the risk of disappointment!

Sleepy village pub stay.

Last minute one night stay. Lovely pub in a quiet village. Staff nice and friendly. Room a little dated and the worlds softest ever bed. Breakfast is in your room and all in packets; acceptable at best. The food / beer offering in the pub was very good.
