This hotel is a lovely sympathetic restoration of farm buildings which sit next to open fields and woodland. On site is also conference centre, farm shop and pony club. Approaching through village is very nice and the surroundings and ambiance is lovely. Plenty of parking and easy access to hotel. But, no elevators and a lot of small corridors and doors and stairs to some of the rooms so be sure to call ahead if you have mobility issues. The room allocated was in the “attic”area of one side wing, but the room was big with plenty of space. The hotel is classed as 4 star and the impression is like this, but closer inspection reveals some shabby-chic items could do with maintenance, lol. Hole in bath mat towel, peeling paint, bathroom basin push plug doesn’t work, cd player in room doesn’t find cd (radio was OK), all welcome signs and room booklet only in French (!) shower over bath is only viable by holding the shower head (no wall fixing due to ceiling slope, no blind on bathroom velux, … But, comfortable bed, good linen, adequate air conditioning, excellent pod Bosch coffee machine (no milk sachet) , mini bar fridge with multiple complimentary water still or fizzy. The restaurant looked nice but we didn’t dine there. Breakfast can be taken in the outdoor terrace overlooking lily pond. Outside are lots of garden to walk and some play park too. Woods are close by for shade from the sun if you want a cooler walk or morning run! Polite staff with quick check in and overall a nice
