Absolutely wonderful hotel, best I’ve ever stayed at. Hard to fault it, the only thing I could say is the people that come around by the pools are quite pushy/salesy trying to sell massages, boat rides etc. Some barely take no for an answer but other than that I’d recommend Rixos to anyone 🙂

Wonderful staff - and would have been a wonderful resort in its prime but now rather tired. Everywhere you look you can see engrained dirt which a mop and water can’t remove. It needs industrialised cleaning and repainting. The worse thing though is the very poor Wi-Fi. How is it possible to claim to be a 5 star hotel when the Wi-Fi is terrible? If I had known, I would have gone elsewhere.

Overall a good experience
The resort is huge and going from one to the other amenities takes time, but there were always carts to pick you up. Our air conditioning and heat in the room did not work properly, but as the temperature was mild (December) it wasn’t a real problem for us. The restaurant food in the main restaurant was good, but local food dishes were definitely better. The specialty restaurants were ok, but nothing to write about, especially if you are a foodie. The service level was excellent. Make sure to book your excursions on Viator and not in the hotel, as they will charge you double or more.

Overall, my stay at the resort was pleasant, and the staff certainly deserve 5 stars for their service. However, I did encounter a few issues during my visit. Upon check-in, I was upgraded, which I appreciated, but my bed was switched from a king to a double. After traveling all night, I was too exhausted to raise the issue and decided to let it go. I was part of a group of seven friends, and while my companions seemed to receive exceptional hospitality, including offers of amenities and even late check-out, I unfortunately did not experience the same. This was surprising, especially as this was my second stay at the resort. The food was average—not great, but not terrible either. One of my main concerns was with the bartenders. Only one poolside bartender, Semeh, seemed well-trained and made excellent drinks. Unfortunately, the other bartenders' drinks were bland and poorly mixed. The music at the pool was another downside—constantly melancholy and depressing, as though the DJ had set the playlist and checked out emotionally. Given that my previous stay at this resort was much better, I am still inclined to give the hotel an overall 4-star rating. However, I hope to see some improvements in consistency, especially with amenities and the poolside experience.

The aging hotel was uncomfortable, with dated amenities and a gloomy ambiance. The beach was disappointing, requiring navigation of a long bridge and narrow stairs for access, contrary to the alluring promotional images. The staff's constant pursuit of tips further worsened the already dismal experience. Overall, the stay was highly disappointing and I'd suggest potential guests look elsewhere.

Great stay, comfortable, good food.
Great stay at the Rixos. The hotel grounds and communal areas are beautiful and well kept. We enjoyed exploring the hotel. All staff were very polite and attentive. We were always able to get a sunbed at the pool areas. The food choices at breakfast and dinner were broad and presented well. We also ate in a couple of the a la carte restaurants and had good experiences. Whilst the hotel is one of the most expensive in Sharm, you do get what you pay for. Brilliant value for money. We were able to take the shuttle bus over to the Seagate hotel and use the aqua venture park too. The only thing that would have improved our stay was if the water slides at the adults only hotel were able to be used. They have been closed off which was a shame. Also book your excursions outside of the hotel, their prices are very expensive for the same service available on other websites.
