The hotel was clean and safe, the room was clean, but the latch/bolt on the door needs to be replaced or tightened. I am safety conscious, but the hotel seemed very safe!!

It was a very nice stay. I did look at the hotel book in the room and noticed that Tony Roma’s was listed as a hotel restaurant. It has been closed for a few years. There was also another restaurant on the suggestions page of restaurants in the area that is closed. I think the book needs to be updated. It also does not mention the Lido Lounge in the hotel. Also, a list of churches in the area would be helpful.

So Frustrating
Started with some kind of mix up when we tried to check in that took an hour to resolve. Once we finally got to the room, the bathroom fixtures were backwards - hot was cold and cold was hot. Someone opened the door and came into our room by mistake, asking if we were staying an extra night. Strange, since the reservation was for 2 nights. Turns out, there was ANOTHER mix up and our reservation was only for one night. That was resolved finally and the rest of the stay was without incident, unless you count the party of 80 in the room next door. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times because the proximity to ISU and value are unmatched, and they are pet friendly. But this last time might be the last time.

Good value
It was fine and good value. Appeared clean enough and room was a good size. Bed was relatively comfortable but blanket was thin so I just had to turn up the heat to compensate.

I keep coming back
My kids go to school here. I’ve numerous tried other hotels in the area and keep coming back to the Chateau. Despite being somewhat older, it’s definitely the best value for the money I’ve found in the area. The breakfast is a bit more inclusive than most inexpensive hotels. The pool and hot tub are very nice, clean and well maintained. Their age shows, but doesn’t make you uncomfortable.

Old School Charm
We always stay at The Chateau when we are traveling through IL. I love that they continue to keep the beauty and ambience of the old hotel, but continue to renovate and update. We stayed twice in the past 3 weeks and were amazed to see the restaurant and lounge open in that short period of time.

Garlic Breakfast
Have stayed multiple times, always friendly, comfortable and overall clean. Only issues were all the garlic in the eggs and potatoes in the breakfast.

Good place to stay
We really like staying here. It is in a good location. Easy to get to everything we need. The breakfast is good. The rooms are nice. Some of the rooms are a bit dated. Looks like they are redoing the rooms a few at a time. There are not enough outlets by the bed. Make sure to bring an extension cord.

Bloomington, il
My room was comfortable for rhe most part. I am working overnight shift so i am sleeping during the day. They have a small chapel that was very close to my room and on Sunday they had music blasting so lound i called the front desk. They said they are only there on sunday mornings and it wont be going on for very long. I can understand having a service but it is a small room that has closing doors. Why they had to have the music that freeking loud was beyond me.

Love this property.
We love staying here. It is an old property, but it is beautiful and they are slowly working to restore it to its former beauty. Many of the rooms have been redone, and they are now working on the in-house restaurant/lounge. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. My only issue is whomever decided that a rain showerhead with a half door was a good idea, needs to rethink how rain showers work. No matter how careful we were, we had to use 2 extra towels to mop up the water that sprayed out of the shower. The property is close to a nice variety of restaurants and stores.
