This Botique style property has a wonderful location walkable to everything downtown; restaurants, services, waterfront, activities, and ferries. Rates include breakfast options in the outstanding adjacent classic French restaurant. A huge marathon in town, but we were inside the bubble, not inconvenienced by the commotion of the larger hotels.
We not care for the decor of the room. It is distinctly dated. As a design professional, in my opinion long overdue for a refresh. A feeling like the salon of a wax museum. The queen bed was horrible in every way, considering this was a small 2 room suite. Neither of us slept well over four nights with the dreaded mattress topper bouncing us inward like the contents of a burrito. I didn't realize until too late there may have been a room with a king bed.
A safety concern; smoke detector missing which the manager noted to address immediately. The thing that really bothered was the overlap of the cabinet doors to the mini fridge and lack of handles that made it incredibly easy to trap a hand or finger. I would not want a child anywhere near it. A serious design flaw.
The concierge, doormen, and front desk, personnel are all professional, attentive, and welcoming. They make you feel at home something often lacking in a large, business hotel property.
Many international flights arrive in the morning, they're happy to secure your luggage, they will let you know when the room is ready.
