Is a very charming little town. Very beautiful shops around the shopping street and with lots of historical buildings. The canal itself is attractive both day and night

The canal was made to be more than it is. Lots of closed shops. Maybe because it is winter. But overall the town looks a bit rundown.

The food is amazing and reasonable price! The people are polite! The only drawback is the language barrier!

Otaru's a lovely place. Alot of tourists but if you're okay with that then no worries.
"We loved all the breakfast options and the bakery right on site. We really enjoyed our massages in our room. She adjusted my grandsons hip and released pressure in my ears. Absolutely marvelous!!"
"First time in Sapporo with family of 4. Great location as it’s close to lots of restaurants. The rooms were very spacious as well. Also multiple convenience store like Lawson & Seico Mart around the corners. There is also a small grocery store near by and a laundry place close by to do laundry if needed.
Only down side was the temperature outside was so hot (32-42 degrees Celsius) and the AC can only set to a max of 20 degrees Celsius which was hard to sleep. Good thing the next day we asked the staff to check the AC, but there was nothing they can do and offer us a fan which helped a lot as it would help circulate the air in the room. "
"We both really liked the hotel restaurant! It was very easy to book and to eat at, though arrows indicating what direction to move in at the buffet might be helpful in the future."
